1. People's Choice Awards 9:00pm on CBS There certainly is no lack of awards shows on during this time of year. Tonight brings the People Choice Awards which are apparently chosen by the people. Kaley Cuoco hosts the show that covers categories in movies, music and television. Now all I want to know is why my Bennie Cumberbatch is not nominated for anything. It's a shame – shame, I say!! | |
| 2. Modern Family 9:00pm on ABC New Years Eve is also January 8th, right? | |
| 3. Nashville 10:00pm on ABC Deliciously devious happenings with the queens of country. | |
| 4. Stars in Danger: High Dive 8:00pm on FOX The latest in the series of reality competition shows finds…..wait for it……nine celebrities competing in a series of Olympic-style dives. What's next reality star synchronized swimming? | |
| 5. American Horror Story 10:00pm on FX More weird happenings at the asylum with doctors, aliens and unexpected visitors. Oh my. |

The People's Choice Awards are just a night where I learn to hate humanity again.
Stars in Danger: High Dive I honestly thought this was a joke when I saw an add for it
I actually like watching the sitcom Suburgatory. I think the writing on that show is very clever without trying to pander to a specific audience. I was not expecting a show about a motherless city girl moving to the suburbs being that enjoyable.
Modern Family continues to be pretty great. I'm waiting for the show to get bad and it hasn't happened yet. We'll see how the rest of the season goes, but I have high hopes.
