Might as well go out for Saturday and Friday because TV executives really believe that's all you want to do. By the time to come home to recover and prepare for work on Monday they have a killer lineup waiting for you however. AMC and HBO bring the thunder almost all year long on Sunday nights. When one hit show leaves the next pops up to replace it. Can't complain, good TV is better than no TV.
What To Watch
1. True Blood
HBO 9pm: The sixth season of this hit series is back to replace you Game of Thrones needs. Maybe not as great as Game of Thrones but it does fulfill that dramatic need. I only watched some of the first season but I enjoyed how they don't hold anything back and are willing to go violent or sexy when the story needs it.
2. The Killing
AMC 9pm: The Killing seems to be the unsung hero of AMC's roster of hit shows. Quietly it has built itself an audience and following and yet you don't see the love you do for shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Maybe as the summer heats up it can stand out on it's own.
HBO 10pm: I caught some of an episode and didn't get what was going on, granted I watched for an entire 2 minutes. Can I jump into this show this late or should I check them out on HBO Go?
4. Mad Men
AMC 10pm: Don decides to take a day off as the partners disagree on a new campaign. This season all the sudden took off and got crazy didn't it? AMC shows really find that balance of setting their shows up right before dropping a bomb of reveals on their audience.
