What to Watch: Weekend

The Walking Dead (and Touch) return and Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome is all growns up and on the television screen

1. Touch

8:00pm on Friday, FOX – Season Premiere

I've never fully been able to get invested in Touch. I want to, I want to real bad, but I stopped after episode 3 and haven't been able to bring myself to watch again. Maybe I should? Maybe I shouldn't? Sometimes I feel like I need to just let Jack Bauer lie. However, for those of you that love the show it is back tonight. Enjoy. I hope you do. No, for real.

2. Portlandia

10:00pm on Friday, IFC

A steampunk convention!

3. Heebie Gee-Gees

9:00pm on Saturday, SyFy

Have you ever said, "ewww, that thing gives me the heebie jeebies" and liked it? Yeah, well, then this SyFy original movie is for you.

4. Grammy Awards

8:00pm on Sunday, CBS

The 55th Annual "Call Me Maybe" better win everything awards (yes, I am joking. I will shoot my ears out if that song wins).

5. Bob's Burgers

8:30pm on Sunday, FOX

Celebrate Valentine's day early with the most un-romantic family around.

6. Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome

8:00pm on SyFy

The series has already been released on Machinima on the web, but if you prefer watching things on your television, you can watch it then. Perhaps, I will like it more with the ability to watch at all once?

7. The Walking Dead

9:00pm on Sunday, AMC - Mid–Season Premiere

After what feels like a forever long mid-season break, we find out what happens in the aftermath of Rick and friends encountering the other "friends".

8. Shameless

8:00pm on Sunday, Showtime

Someday I will catch up on life with The Gallaghers.

9. Californication

9:30pm on Sunday, Showtime

Hank and Charlie have a meeting with the rock star and while the rock star is funny, what about Hank and Karen?!! Hank and Karen 4 Eva.

10. Downton Abbey

9:00pm on Sunday, PBS - Season Finale (kind of)

The two hour finale to season 3 of Dowton Abbey. But, wait, there's more! The Christmas Special is the "true" end of the season. Let's discuss once you've seen that, please. So much to say…so much to SAY!!

The Walking Dead and Downton Abbey at the same time? Shit, I don't know how to choose.

Little_Socrateson Feb. 8, 2013 at 4:35 p.m.

SORRY, but Call Me Maybe is a fine song. It won't win anything (obviously) but it's totally fine and we'll be living with it forever.

(just kidding it's okay to dislike the song i'm a goofball)

Man I forgot Touch was still a thing. O well it's on the Friday night deathslot.

SPARTACUS and YOUNG JUSTICE that's all

The Grammy Awards are the red-headed stepchild of the coveted EGOT.

RockinKemosabeon Feb. 8, 2013 at 5:01 p.m.

@rem25: I could just spoil the rest of the season for Downton Abbey so you won't have to choose. Walking Dead has an encore afterwards anyway.

@RockinKemosabe: Don't do it!!!! It was spoiled for me and I'm still angry.

the_refereeon Feb. 8, 2013 at 6:39 p.m.

Bestosteroon Feb. 8, 2013 at 6:41 p.m.

Yeah, I'm still behind a week so no spoilers from you! :) I'm already recording Downton and I'm itching for The Walking Dead so that's probably what's going to happen.

Community on Thursday and now Walking Dead on Sunday. It's like they want me to watch TV.

Everyone should watch Young Justice cause Cartoon Network is cancelling one of their few shows that show a sign of intelligence lol

Adventure Time and Regular Show aren't exactly for dummies. Sorry that a show you love is being cancelled because it really sucks. I went through the same thing with Cartoon Network over Chowder and Megas XLR. I was even part of a letter writing campaign to save Reaper by sending the CW pairs of socks.

meaninoflife42on Feb. 9, 2013 at 7:43 p.m.

I only continue to watch Touch to count how many times Keifer says "dammit" in every episode.

jackandersonon Feb. 11, 2013 at 12:32 a.m.

@meaninoflife42: What's your count up to so far?

meaninoflife42on Feb. 12, 2013 at 1:36 a.m.

@jackanderson: I don't know what the final count was for the first season due to the fact that the show itself is forgettable, but for this season I believe my count, as of the season premire, stands at 3.

Dig Deeper into The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse; it follows a small group of survivors, led by Sheriff Rick Grimes, traveling across the desolate United States in search of a new home away from the shuffling hordes of the undead.
