Nocturna (1979)

Edit this Page
Harry Hurwitz Director previously directed Fairy Tales

Dracula wants his Granddaughter to find a nice man and settle down in Transylvania. She manages to fall in love with a man alright, but he's from New York and she immediately runs off with him much to the chagrin of Dracula.

Trivia:

Gloria Gaynor only agreed to sing Nocturna's theme song, "Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away," out of courtesy to her then manager/soon-to-be-husband. In a 2008 interview, Gaynor said the title was "corny," the lyrics were "dreadful," and the arrangement "was already badly dated" when she recorded it.
