Hey everybody! You may have noticed that we've been working on a little something at Whiskey over the last couple of days with our talk about NTSF:SD:SUV::, the latest 15-minute comedy offering on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. We're happy to announce that we'll be hosting a live viewing party tonight from 9:00 Pacific to around 12:30 Pacific, in partnership with Turner Broadcasting. The indominatable Ryan Davis will be hosting the proceedings, so we hope to see you tune to watch alongside him. The show debuts at 12:15 AM on the East Coast, then wraps up three hours later at 12:15 AM on the Pacific side of things.

So what the hell is NTSF:SD:SUV:: all about? Well, it's all about the National Terrorism Strike Force:San Diego:Sport Utility Vehicle, of course. As the name implies, it's a high-energy parody of all those same-y procedural shows that infest our airways; I've always thought that they deserved to be taken down a peg, and apparently Scheer and his pals thought the same. We've talked to the cast members, caught a preview of the show, laughed out loud at the prospect of college kids exploding after one too many caffeinated alchoholic beverages, and are excited to help introduce you to the latest must-see Adult Swim comedy.

To encourage you to stay up late, we're going to be offering up exclusive interviews with some of the stars of the show, including creator-writer-star Paul Scheer, and some nice little giveaways that may be of interest to you if you enjoyed the series that NTSF:SD:SUV:: premiered on, Childrens Hospital, along with plenty other surprises!

If you've got any questions about tonight's broadcast, feel free to leave 'em in the comments, and Alex will do his best to answer them throughout the day (as I'll be sealed inside Hall H at SDCC today--hey, look, another acronym!).

So just to be clear, you will broadcast it? Don't need an american tv channel?

I'm looking forward to checking this out.

Can the people from the U.K  watch it or are we going to be blocked from watching it?

I'm guessing Jeff and Ryan's love of Comedy Bang Bang and Earwolf make this huge for them. I'll be watching because of my love for Paul Scheer.

We are NOT broadcasting the show in its entirety. We will be airing clips and interviews from the show during our broadcast, but if you want to watch the whole program start to finish, you'll need Cartoon Network on your teevee.

Already love Kate Mulgrew's role in this. And this is a big nice deal for WM I say - just think that the little tiny 56k pixel banner should be on this very site as well!

So will rather watch the archive version when I can get my hands on the episode in "other" ways.

This sounds pretty good and hopefully I'll be able to get the quest since I'm working when this thing starts. However, Kate Mulgrew with an eyepatch is enough to get me excited about this show.

I really have no use for these live-action shows on Cartoon Network.  I've tried to sit through Children's Hospital and Eagleheart and turn them off after a minute or so each time.  They're just not for me, and as much as I castigate the inclusion of live-action on CN, I know that these programs aren't going away since they seem to make money for the network.  I might turn this on if I'm awake to see Ryan, but that's about it.  There isn't too much I regularly watch on Adult Swim anymore.  The good ol' days are gone, but I still have hope.  For the longest time CN's primetime slot was pretty lackluster, but they've added a number of good stuff over the last couple of years, so I hope AS will air something decent again someday.

I didn't recognize Paul Scheer because he's not supposed to have hair...

Will the Whiskey content be on screened or on Cartoon Network as well?

I find this whole thing kind of repulsive. Particularly the fact that an ad from doubleclick.net is showing in my ad-free yearly membership.

Just sayin'.

I was already gonna watch this just based on the name of the show.
