 Don't get me wrong, I loved Paranormal Activity 2.
 
In fact I would even give it five stars on the screened rating scale, it's the best horror movie I've seen in a very long time.
 
However, this did not stop me from finding a (pretty minor) plot hole, and obviously, feeling very accomplished, I want to share it with the world.
 
In one of the scenes, near the beginning, if you look closely at a T.V in the background you can see that it is playing a commercial for the Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner. 
 
The movie claims to take place in 2006
The dyson ball came out in 2008
 
Either this is a gaping plot hole, or it turns out the T. V is receiving broadcast from the future, adding another layer to the "paranormal activities".
But it's probably just a minor inconsistency that no one will care about.  Still, I feel accomplished.

It's nice that movies can write off things like that as just more weird events. 
"It was a ghost boom mic that dropped into shot!"

i noticed the dyson ball  i had a little mental recognition of it ut i didnt know it was made in 08 soit didnt break the experience haha

And to think, I was actually considering watching this film. I'll make sure to mention this to any of my friends who are planning to see it. 

This isn't really a plot hole, it's an anachronism.  
And if it were a plot hole, it's certainly not gaping, expect maybe if they use the Dyson to kill the ghosts. Wait, did I just spoil the movie for myself?

I enjoyed the movies, but I think they lend themselves better to the setting of a theatre than a a living room...even with surround sound I think.  The booms, tiny noises, etc all make up for a better experience of a huge screen and loud speakers. 
 
Also, nice job picking up on the commercial.  

i noticed the dyson ball in the movie and thought it was just (in)conspicuous product placement. didnt even realize the time difference.....

There is also a Dunkin Donuts commercial, does Dunkin Donuts advertise on the west coast? I thought that was just an east coast thing.

They do, just not a whole lot. They mostly just advertise their coffee.
