Were you happy with Piranha 3D? Want to see some more faces getting ripped off, cocks getting gobbled (and not in the fun way), and boobs? If so, you're going to get your wish, as Dimension has waited less than 24 hours after getting the weekend estimates in to go ahead and greenlight a fourth film in the franchise (hopefully this time shot in actual 3D and not simply post-converted).

After earning rave reviews from top critics, wild cheers from audiences around the country, and $10 million in its opening weekend box office, Dimension Films is pleased to announce that PIRANHA 3D – THE SEQUEL is in the works.

PIRANHA 3D producer Mark Canton stated, "We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving PIRANHA 3D, but cheering for it. And it's fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can't wait to get to work on the sequel."

I'll be honest, I haven't seen Piranha 3D, and I kind of doubt I will, but the prospect of actual boobs being shot with real 3D cameras is, well, titillating. We haven't seen a lot of classy nudity in the 3D space yet, and while I doubt Piranha 3D: The Sequel will be classy, maybe we can get half of that equation on movie screens this time next year.

Oh god, I really hope they call it Piranha 4D. And I am hella stoked for this. Planning on catching Piranha 3D soon, should be great.

Fuck yes!! That film was so good. Most fun I had in cinema for ages. The ending set up sequel perfectly!!!!  Yes more Chris Lloyd.  See if they can get another cameo from one of the original jaws guys too!

Still trying to convince my friends to go see Piranha 3D with me.  Once I showed them who Kelly Brook was they seemed more interested.

Wait, Pirahna 3D was a sequel? I thought it was just a reboot/reimagining/whatever? I figured that if the film wasn't shown in 3D, it'd just be called Pirahna a la Rambo or My Bloody Valentine (the remake from last year).

This.  There aren't many reviews from any "top critics" over on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's only five reviews at that. 
 
REGARDLESS...man, this movie was excellent, stupid horror fun!!!  Loved it!  Gore was great, and I kept getting pissed when people stepped in the water.  Plus, the ending basically BEGS for another movie.
