I'd put the original Planet of the Apes up there with any other Sci-Fi movie ever made. Also a really big fan, like others of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Just a very, very dark series. It's funny watching listening to commentary tracks on these movies because they pretty much admit they were making political films without the approval of the studios.

~sigh~  I can't help but see that part in Spaceballs when Spaceball one lands on their planet.  It always comes to mind. 
 
"Whats that coming out of her nose?" 
"Spaceballs!!" 
"Oh sh*t, there goes the planet!" 
 
Still, these were a lot of fun back then.
