Predators was hideous but it seemed like they used all their callback material already so maybe we'll get an original story this time round.
I almost lost faith in Rodriguez after Once Upon a Time in Mexico (seriously dude, lets ease up on the slo-mo/fade shots please) but of course loved Sin City. Predators really proved to me that he is adaptable as a director and doesn't need to have a "huge explosion where the protagonist is blown 20 feet in the air while shooting everyone" scene in it. I loved the nod to the original, loved the feel of it going back into the jungle. I'm a fan of AVP (regardless of it's feeling like a WWE match) only because I'm a fan of Darkhorse comics (I lived in Portland OR most of my life, which is only a short drive from their studio - where they have a full sized predator and alien mock up in the window). Adrian Bordy is a must, he's also proven himself an adaptable actor (especially when doing 'under the radar gold' like The Jacket and The Experiment), but I'd hate for them to all still be on that planet. As for a name I'm at the point I'd rather it just be something as simple as Predators 2. They really don't need to add anything to that since at it's core it's really just an action/sci-fi movie. Does it need to be Predators: Again or something to be watchable? I'm really interested to see if they can keep this story fresh at all.
