SLC Punk is one my favorite films. I found this film in '02 and was floored. I've never been a huge fan of Matthew Lillard, but this is by far the best flick I've seen him in. The dialog is fresh and exciting, and the pace is so frantic and energetic it makes you feel like you are part of Stevo's "tribe." The entire film is essentially Stevo building a case, attorney style, for himself to grow up and abandon his old beliefs, which he slowly realizes are no longer his. This takes me back to the mid- ninties when I was a teen, and reminds me alot about my friends and I, and some of the situations we experienced. Stevo's realization about himself and his friends near the end of the film is very true to life and moving. I always recommend this movie to everybody I see and think that the community on screened will also enjoy this little gem.
