I'm surprised that all of the (I guess) ARG things that were going around weren't mentioned in the marketing campaign segment of this. Whether that would be considered good or bad isn't my call, but there is a ton of crazy information and theories about the movie that make no sense without the knowledge that came from sites associated with the movie.

Disappointed in lack of 50/50, only one nomination for Drive, no Super 8 for either sound category, and The Help, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, and War Horse all being nominated, but I've kind of gotten used to it over the years (Give me Drive, HP and GWTDT over those three.)

@wickedsc3: Honestly, give it another shot. I don't know how much of it you watched, but while the football is predictable (as even admitted by the writers/show runners), football isn't the main point of the show. Kind of like LOST (even though people will probably be ticked when I saw this), their is an overarching story which may center around football/mysteries of the island, but the show is about what ...
