I am recapping the movies I have seen in theaters in 2011. While I go to the theaters less often, I still enjoy the experience and thought it would be fun to recap my experiences of these films. The movies are listed in the order I saw them, not best to worst.

1. Thor
I enjoyed Thor very much as a "popcorn flick." It was a fun, entertaining ride. Although I didn't mean to see it in 3D, I thought they did a pretty good job of it. |

2. Bridesmaids
Seeing this movie was a last minute decision, but I ended up coming away pleasantly surprised. A funny and enjoyable movie, but it felt a little long in places. |

3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II
The first movie of 2011 that I actually planned on seeing from the outset, and it did not disappoint. A great ending to an epic movie series. |

4. Friends with Benefits
Since I saw a trailer, I kept a close eye on Friends with Benefits. The lead performances were great. Reminded me a lot of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and that is a good thing. I'll be picking this up when it comes out on DVD/Blu-ray. |

5. Moneyball
Another good performance by Brad Pitt makes Moneyball an enjoying, interesting look at a trailblazing baseball GM. Ended up seeing this one with my dad and had a great time...good father/son movie. |
