Completely disagree. While I didn't hate this movie, and actually thought it was pretty good, the "best movie ever" stuff seems completely out of proportion. This film seemed really clumsy, and at times amatuer. Slo-mo shots of characters walking down hallways, a retro soundtrack that hits you over the head with obviousness... All adds up to a movie that did not make me think at all. I agree with what Kraznor said... the characters were very one-dimensional and didn't engage me at all.
I hate to rant against this film but I just don't see what everyone else sees in it. I think if it didn't feature a "badass" character wearing a stupid fucking scorpion jacket no one would care. It seems like it has just the right combination of pretentiousness and outrageous violence to really strike a chord with some people.
Again, I don't mean to start a flame war, but I just don't understand.
