Ultimate Spider-Man Disscussion thread
on the Ultimate Spider-Man board.
It was....alright. There are some really good concepts at work--I really do like the idea of Spiderman kind of failing at the whole Superhero thing--but it's all mired with lame Family Guy-esque visual gags and throwaways. I appreciate the energy that's apparent in the show, even if it would feel more at home in a Deadpool animated show.

I just....The word terrible is routinely passed around when discussing entertainment, but Pitbull may as well be one of the few "artists" (and oh god do I use that term loosely) that deserves being called so. He truly is awful, and I have no idea why people like him.

Hey, that's perfectly fine. Shock humor is shock humor, and even if it's treated as such, it'll always appeal to a specific crowd of people. With that said: If you wish to at least give OF a shot, I do have to recommend "Goblin." For all the flack that album gets for its content, I do believe there is a stronger message beneath all the jokes about rape and "bopping ...

@Rorie:I kinda feel that if you're taking anything Tyler the Creator, or any part of OF, seriously--you're doing it wrong. I understand people are uncomfortable with some of the stuff that's associated with the group--it's kinda hard to defend them after such "classics" such as "Bitch Suck Dick--" but it's done in such a goofy and over-the-top manner, I can't find myself to find any of it all that offensive. ...

I don't think anyone is willing to argue that The Artist isn't a good film, but I just can't help but feel that it's completely undeserving of the accolades its been receiving. The OSS films are superior to The Artist in almost every way.

Has it Become Popular to Hate on Video Game Movies?.
The problem I have with Max Payne, and why it sticks out to me as a terrible, terrible film adaptation, is because the source material's story could have been easily translated into film. A film with elements of film noir and John Woo-esque gun-fights? How do you fuck that up?

@VinceNotVance:Huh, really? While I don't mean that to be taken negatively against Midnight in Paris. In fact, I found Midnight to be a delightful film that gave us the best performance from Owen Wilson that wasn't a Wes Anderson film. But best of 2011? Not counting the films that actually did end up being nominated, there were too many films I'd go through before I'd even mention Midnight in Paris ...
