The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is another one of the huge events we have at the beginning of the year, just before we finish out with the incredible Academy Awards. Several stars tried to walk the red carpet looking stylish and some even accomplished it, while others fell into a deep dark pit of Fash-holes.
Amber Heard in Zac Posen
The blonde bombshell looked stunning in this form fitting gown. I loved how the sexy, subtle cut-outs of the dress made her look sexy and classy at the same time. Showing a little cleavage but keeping it strictly PG. My hat off to you Amber! - I love the quiffed hair, it's dramatic but doesn't take the attention off of the dress or her beautiful simplistic make-up.
Emma Stone in Alexander McQueen
I wasn't keen on this at first, but the more I look at it, the more I love it. Emma shows she's a powerhouse when it comes to red carpets. The gown is girly, yet edgy. The bag and shoes are fierce and so are those earrings! - Stone is definitely consistent when it comes to Award shows.
Naya Rivera in Naeem Khan
The Glee starlet looked breathtaking in this beautiful gown. The colour is just perfect for the winter season and contrasted with her flawless skin tone. She kept it sexy and sleek and looked ravishing with messy curled hair. Naya definitely looked like a siren on this red carpet. The detail in the dress is so elaborate that you can't help just appreciate its beauty.
Emily Blunt in Oscar de la Renta
Emily stood out from the crowd in this bright green dress. The colour is extreme, but definitely works with her skin tone. It's a great fit for her and shows off her curves, plus that sexy slit in the gown spices up what would be a plain dress. Great accessories with the bag, shoes and bangles. Well done!
Busy Philipps in Simone by Katie Nehra
Ouch! - this dress is painful to look at. Sure, it's perfect for a day out on the beach but not a prestigious awards show! Why would anyone think of making a dress like this, let alone wear it in public. It's a huge sack of terrifying patterns that just don't work. The braid in the hair is something a 15 year old would do. Hate the jewellery and I hate this overall look.
Zoe Saldana in Givenchy
What can I say? - Zoe Saldana is probably the skinniest girl in Hollywood and why she'd wanna hide her whole body in a frumpy dress like this is beyond me. I liked the make up and the hair, but I couldn't notice it while she was wearing this horrendous dress. The beaded sleeves as seen on the picture just make it look even more tacky.
Rose Byrne in Ellie Saab
Rose took a risk and stood out from the tons of gowns and dresses and I really do applaud her for that. It was a bold statement to wear a jumpsuit to the SAG awards and she looks great, it shortens her height a little, but the detailing is flawless, it was probably not that photographable. The accessories and hair are all very classy and give her a sleek, stylish and chic look.
Jenna Ushkowitz in Rebecca Minkoff
I really did love this dress! it was fun, colourful and stylish with the sexy cut-outs. It had the perfect mixture of sex appeal and innocence beach girl. The hair, the bag was just too cute!
If the skirt wasn't see-through, then it would be my best dressed, or at least runner up. But because of the see-through skirt, it just looks a little hoochy.
Lea Michele looks so stunning and sexy in this gorgeous Versaci dress. I loved the sexy slit up the leg and the way it was fitted to her curves. Lea tries too much, and while God loves a trier Lea, the public generally don't.
The hair just distracted us from the dress, if it was more restrained, in a tight ponytail, then we could see the structure of the dress, like the strap more. Also, it needed some colour.
Rising star Shailene looked beach ready in this dress referencing her film 'The Descendants' (set in Hawaii) - the pattern is a little too much and overwelming. If Shailene had just swapped hair styles with Lea then everything would've been fine! - some bangles or something would've looked great too. Considering it's probably her first big red carpet, I'll let her off. I'm sure we're gonna be seeing much more of this beautiful actress!
If Zoe Saldana hadn't have worn her monstrosity of a dress, then Kristen would've definitely took her place. It's not the dress itself I dislike, it's a nice, age appropriate dress. I just hate that goddamn choker/collar. It just felt out of place with the whole look.
The 'Dexter' star looked great in this Death-inspired dress by Pucci. I would've loved for it to be a couple of inches shorter, it's just at an awkward length for me to really like it. Her hair is cute and the design of the dress would normally be too much, but because it is see-through and shorter it is a perfectly proportioned amount.
Kaley looked adorable in the feathered gown, I loved the fairy-tale theme she was radiating, the chunky braid adds to the allusion and is done right (unlike Busy)
