I just watched O Brother Where Art Thou, my first Coen Brothers Experience and I wanted to know what your opinions were on it. Also, what other Coen films would you suggest?

What movie or movies do you feel got a bum rep because people didn't understand what the movie was actually about? I feel like Last Samurai gets lumped in with "Dances With Wolves" as the "white man shows these savages how its done" when the movie really seems to be more about Tom Cruise's character bearing witness to the death of a culture.

Getting (or at this point have gotten) a blu-ray player for Christmas. What movies should i get to show it off when my parents come over and ask what the big deal is?

In reading reviews and listening to the podcast, you guys will often describe actors as "chewing their lines." I've also heard the phrase "chewing scenery." What does this mean?! I can figure out most things by context, but for this one, I really can't tell if it's good, bad, good with a touch of badness, or what.
Thanks so much,
Mike from Philly

What are some of your favorite heist films?

The quality of a film is usually, but not always, equal to the sum of its parts, but is there a certain aspect of films that you find yourself gravitating towards? I know the films I enjoy most are ones that feature great dialog or recognizable directorial trademarks.
Just for fun predictions. Matt: Script. Alex: Cinematography. *crosses fingers*

Will there be a children's film for this generation that has the emotional impact of Bambi or Charlotte's Web?

I watch Top Gear but the BBC America version only has incomplete episodes. The clips are cut for commercials differently, the music that they play is different due to licensing regulations, and they even sometimes cut out whole segments of the show for no reason at all. Is there any legitimate way for me to get the complete British versions in America that does not involve torrents? How do you feel about watching overseas television?

I was happily unwrapping gifts from various friends and family on christmas, when all of a sudden I found myself unwrapping a copy of Jonah Hex on DVD. Just as I was wondering what I had done to deserve this cruel fate, the person who gave it to me asked if I liked it. I put a smile on my face and lied my ass off, but couldn't help but wince when she said someone told her this was a good movie. So I was wondering if you guys have ever been given a bad movie as a gift, and if so what were they and what were your reactions. Also, how do I get rid of this movie? I think I feel it watching me sleep...
