I remember watching that House on Haunted Hill remake in theaters and thinking it was one of the scariest movies I'd seen, right up until that CGI blob shows up, at which point I wasn't sure if I liked the movie at all.

Couldn't agree more with the whole thing. I honestly don't know how people can watch modern action movies with their ADD editing and constantly moving camera. When I watch any Michael Bay movie every action seen consists of me trying to figure out what I just saw in the last brief shot before it cuts to another and the process repeats (it doesn't help that his plot's are equally incomprehensible, ...

You can't blame Fox or any TV network for putting out this garbage, as they are companies whose sole aim is to make a profit. If you want to complain, blame the TV viewing audience that makes these shows so profitable.
