Pegg & Wright have both said multiple times over the last few years since Hot Fuzz that The World's End will not be a sci-fi movie... I probably should have mentioned that in my original postPaul was written on the set of Hot Fuzz (by Pegg & Frost)... so that also kind of rules out aliens i'd have thoughtWhat other genres could they be interested in?

Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright are self confessed massive movie geeks... and their previous two films Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz were both love letters to some of their favourite genres... Zombie Horror, Buddy Cop Action, etc with their trademark comedy twist.But, i can't quite see what direction this new movie is going in.... A pub crawl where they save the World !!!So... is it a road movie? ...

@gangly: Strike me up as another duder who prefers Hot Fuzz over Shaun of the DeadWith regards to The World's End they have made things tough for themselves by leaving it so long... expectations will naturally be higher. I'm actually not really all that much of a Men In Black fan.... yet this looks half decent... and i find myself wondering if that is a reflection on the state of cinema currently - That a film, that if released 10 years ago would have been considered at best average, is now considered one of the better looking releases for the year!
