Damn damn damn damn. Matt, you and Alex were why I visited Screened and why this was the only movie site I ever gave a damn about. Without your personalities involved Screened won't be the same and I think this may be my last visit. I hope you find another job soon, best of luck in the future you did a great job here.

I really like Bones. I've gotten sick of a lot of crime-drama shows lately, but Bones is always fun. Been slowly watching it on Netflix. I used to watch it a lot when I had cable, but that was a couple years ago so I'm way behind. Boreanaz does really good in Bones. Booth is a really fun and likable character and it's a role that doesn't demand a ton ...

I really like Russian Santa, it's amusing and fits the tone of the movie. This looks like it could be pretty fun.

I like Sandler's Dracula voice and the Genndy is involved. I have nothing else good to say about it. I didn't even smile at the "jokes" in the trailer, they all fell completely flat. So yeah I'm skipping this one.

The movies are alright, at least the ones I saw. I never found them particularly great, but worth one view on cable.

@Rhaknar: Edo Arc. The Christian Arc wasn't that bad, at least Kenshin being blind was something new and interesting. The villain was kind of lacking, but once again at least he was different. Everything after that including the movie and Reflections was shit though. So far this movie looks promising. We'll see though. Honestly I don't think it would be that hard to translate Kenshin into a movie. It doesn't have ...

At $500 no way in hell. At $350, maybe. The big problem would be figuring out where the hell to put it. I don't exactly have much by way of free space in my apartment. The $80 set always felt like a rip-off to me since it's just the plain editions of the movies with few special features. I want the ultimate edition sets anyway, so this might work out ...

@PenguinDust: The Avengers have a long history of fighting each other. They respect each other (most of the time), but that doesn't mean they always get along. Every single one of them has ego issues, especially Stark and Hawkeye.

While some of these nominations are very deserved the Razzies are getting as bad as the Oscars. "Oh hey this movie is popular and kind of bad let's nominate it" "Hey this movie is horrible, but no one cares about we'll ignore it". It honestly feels like they're pandering now and hoping that if they nominate enough popular things some celeb will show up or comment on it.

I honestly think a lot of X3's problems were due to Ratner and due to the studio. A lot of the problems really seem studio forced and due to really horrible direction. It's really hard to judge a writer based on one movie and when they're coupled with a shit director it doesn't help. With all the stuff they wanted to cram into the movie there was zero chance of ...

@snide: I really like DS9, but I like TNG more. I just think over-all TNG has a higher amount of good episodes, plus I hated the entire prophecy plot of DS9. It felt forced and was resolved horribly. Maybe I'll find a new appreciation for it when I get to DS9 on Netflix, but right now TNG still stands above the rest for me.

The movie looks shit enough without the stupid ad in front of the trailer. I wasn't going to see this in the first place, but now I really won't see it.

Lucas is probably right, but after watching those clips this movie looks bad. The CG is alright, but it doesn't seem like it was done by ILM's top team. The dialog is really really freaking bad. The actors do a horrible job of delivering it and it doesn't seem like anyone wants to take the movie seriously. Lucas continues to prove that he has no ideas what makes a good ...

The first movie was dumb so very dumb and I still enjoyed it. Has anyone even watched the cartoon recently? It's not exactly thought provoking. GI Joe was exactly what I expected a totally dumb entertaining time in the theater. I expect the same from this.

I think it says a lot when the old skits are still funny. Maybe I'm just getting old, but a lot of today's referential humor just doesn't do it for me. I just don't see the show working anymore. The Waynes haven't been able to capture that kind of humor since the show was canceled. I do hope it works out though, I still enjoy In Living Color and we ...

Why are people asking for Segeal? Have you seen any of his recent movies? The man can barely walk without a stunt double these days, much less do anything remotely similar to action. Let the asshole rot in direct-to-dvd hell and focus on action starts that can actually do something resembling action for more than half a second without having a heart attack.

@solh0und: Same. It was a really good movie, but I really wonder if X3 and Origins did a lot of damage to the film franchise, along with it being considered to be the weakest of the comic movies this year prior to it's release. It's really too bad because I think it was the best of the comic movies this year. Thor was alright, GL was a major disappointment, and ...

I avoid all Starz Play titles on Netflix already. Every single one of them that I have watched might as well have been on a VHS.
