Community » Community Season 4 Discussion Thread

I'm personally of the opinion that the show's been going downhill even before Harmon left/was kicked out during season 3. Minus a few standout episodes it was mostly parody-of-the-week. Hey, remember when this show took place in a community college with actual characters instead of vague caricatures throwing in tons of nerdy references minus the Big Bang Theory laugh track? Man, those were the days.

As for this episode with the InspectiCon, the funniest part was probably at the end ("BOW BEFORE THORAXIS"). I'm looking more to the Parks & Rec hour-long special after this.

Community » Community Season 3 Episode Discussion Thread

I know that Community as a whole has become more of a cartoon this season than a sitcom, but the character of Abed is starting to grate on my nerves more with each passing episode to the point where I'm seeing him as the next Scrappy-Doo whenever he pops up. It made me change the channel halfway through the last episode.

I inadvertently got my parents hooked on this show when I showed them a few eps from the first season one Thanksgiving. My dad described it as like "Cheers" but for my generation. I don't know how I should feel about that.

Bug Reporting » Unable to add quotes

Tried this with both Firefox and Google Chrome. I click the button to add new quotes (in this case, to Archer) but it just pops up with a loading screen for several minutes. One time, the loading bar disappeared, but there was just a blank box. Hopefully the Top Men could look in to this one.

@solh0und: Pretty cool fight scenes, some decent espionage, worth watching if you're bored. Give it a rent, as it's probably the best the CW's ever come up with so far. But there are better shows out there.

In a very recent episode ("Placebo Effect") , Archer had a rare moment of non-dickishness near the end, even if that moment did turn out quite violent. I later discovered that the climactic scene in this episode was actually a reference to this classic scene from the show Magnum PI. 
 
  
 
If you haven't watched this episode (in Archer, but I guess also the Magnum PI one too), do so ASAP. It is honestly one of the better shows of this season in my opinion.

Not sure where this fits, so forgive me if it's already been addressed, but I have a couple of problems.
 
First, on the Archer overview page, actor George Coe is listed as the actor for Cheryl, when it's supposed to be a character named Woodhouse. I've already changed the various appearances in the episodes to reflect this, but on the main page he is still listed as the actor for Cheryl. Is there a way we can revert this so it will default to Woodhouse?
 
Second, on the Boondocks page, there's one actress who voices two main characters, and as a result I cannot link the characters themselves in the episodes to the actress. Is there any way around this? Please let me know. Thanks.

It's like someone took the worst parts of The Spirit and Dick Tracy, then gave them to a 7 year old and asked him to write a script. It may very well be the worst show of 2011 (and only 9 days into the year!). The only saving grace being that this show is so goddamned awful that it comes full circle and parodies itself in its awfulness.

@thatfrood: You have no idea how happy this would make me if this turns out to be true. Then again, I guess Adult Swim needed an actual good cartoon now that The Boondocks is gone and the Venture Brothers is losing its charm.
