Too bad many people's introduction to Don Delillo will be through his mediocre Cosmopolis.I don't have particularly high hopes for the film either. At this point, post Fight Club, American Psycho, ect., this stuff doesn't seem very subversive. There have always been supernatural and superstitious elements in the stories, and their was that Tom Sawyer, Detective novel Twain wrote so this doesn't sound too beyond the pale I guess.

I thought the first season was relatively good, though like I said, I haven't seen much of the second season. The first season was interesting enough, what with being introduced to the world, the characters, and the change of scenery from the town, to the city, to the campsite, to the CDC place, all within six episodes. He wrote the screenplay for The Gardener's Son, and No Country for Old Men was originally conceived as a screenplay so he's done it before, but as a McCarthy fanboy I am hyped.
