How Screened.com has further isolated me from society.

I've certainly kicked my movie-watching habits up a notch since joining this site. Major props have to go to all you users out there, constantly enlightening me to certain films I wouldn't otherwise see. So kudos to you! Here is a list of said movies I've seen since this account's inception, hopefully updated frequently until I get bored or something. Ooh, something shiny!

Note: Some of these movies I have seen previously. Not every movie can be a new one, though I'll try to specify which is a first viewing or not.

Double note! They are ordered by most recent viewing. That means the first movie listed here is also the latest movie I've seen.

Starting date of compilation: June 1st, 2010

Ending date of compilation: October 1st, 2011

1. Ten Inch Hero

Melodrama at its worst. Some funny scenes, but this is far too much of a chick flick that I can handle.

2. Our Idiot Brother

Ok, I really liked this. A little fluffy, but Paul Rudd carries this movie with immeasurable charm. Very funny.

3. Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Very strong movie. Some really good performances by.... virtually everyone.

4. An Invisible Sign

Jessica Alba is smart with numbers. She's not a very good actress.

5. The Brothers Solomon

All things Will Forte all the time. EWWWWW...

6. Dirty Work

HILARRRRRRIOUS

7. Still Waiting...

Still Waiting is hardly as good as the original. I'm sorry world.

8. Blue Gold: World Water Wars

I'm taking a University course and the idea of the eventual commoditization of clean drinking water, an essential source of life, mesmerizes me. Being in the West, we're quite fortunate to have an abundance of water, but we still have to be careful.

9. Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj

Maaaaaaaaan, I'm watching losuy movies it seems.

10. Tommy Boy

David Spade, Chris Farley. It was like they were meant for each other.

11. Accepted

Sexy people doing morally wrong things in the name of not disappointing disapproving parents everywhere.

12. Next

Uggggggggh.

13. Mystery Men

It's true.

14. Friends with Benefits

A really funny movie. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis were both really good, these too kids are going to go far.

15. Morning Glory

Rachel McAdams is terrible here. But the movie is ok.

16. Attack the Block

I've seen a lot of British TV shows lately. Here's a British movie. This is really good, I think my favorite thing about it is just how brisk the movie moves along. The action comes quick, the character development continues throughout the film, and the ending is a really nice treat. Watch it.

17. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II

THERE, saw it! A rather good movie, however the whole emotional punch in the face I was expecting out of the big Snape reveal was a bit disappointing. Damn you guys, first I read that Toy Story 3 was a brilliant tear jerker and now this? Not even close!

18. Everything Must Go

Terribly depressing. Will Ferrell was great as he surprisingly tends to be in dramatic roles.

19. Take Me Home Tonight

It was ok.

20. Starter for 10

James McAvoy is pretty great. This movie is very mediocre.

21. Cowboys and Aliens

Here we go. I thought the tone was too serious for a movie called Cowboys and Aliens. Meh.

22. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

The extended version is great. I always hated how they killed Saruman in the films though.

23. Rango

I really liked this. Loved the Fear and Loathing cameo too. FTR, This makes 17 movies within the past two weeks. There's a startling fact for you.

24. Idle Hands

Jessica Alba is stupid hot, even if her character is pretty bad. But this is about a guy with a murderous hand, not about Jessica Alba's tits (though it certainly helps).

25. About a Boy
26. Definitely, Maybe

Really sweet movie. I'm reminded an awful lot of High Fidelity with this one... a guy going over his previous relationships. However, I can't picture Ryan Reynolds being a College grad in the early 90's, with an 11 year old daughter in 2008. The timeline just doesn't add up.

27. Captain America: The First Avenger

Americaaaaaaaaaa. This was my most anticipated movie of the summer and it didn't really disappoint. I didn't like the fancy schmancy weaponry of the 1940's though. I do hate sci-fi stuff like that though.

28. Something Borrowed

Ugh. ERGH. Too romantic-y. Somebody punch Kate Hudson.

29. Bad Teacher

More or less plotless without a single shred of character development. It's a vehicle to watch Cameron Diaz say and do terrible things for no real reason, other than she's a total bitch. Jason Segal steals every scene he's in with a performance you can't not adore. It's obvious he's having the most fun out there.

30. Date Night

Yep!

31. Thor

$5 movie. I haven't yet seen it until now. It was ok! Actually, quite tolerable. The sci-fi fantasy stuff in Asgard was manageable and I usually hate all that crap. It's still weird to me that Kenneth Branagh directed this.

32. Micmacs

Now this was an impressive film! I had no idea it was available on Netflix... but it is! It's paced so wonderfully, definitely one of my favorites.

33. Lord of War

Nicholas Cage is fantastic. He either stars in a great film and puts up a terrific performance, or he stars in a shitty film putting up a campy, twisted, bizarre performance. This movie is good, not great. I guess I just contradicted myself, eh?

34. Liar Liar

Ugh. I thought this was hilarious when I was younger, but it's far too stupid for words. Jim Carrey, that man is great, but there's some big dud performances here, most noticeably was that little turd who plays his son. Cary Elwes, I want to punch you. Any good will from the Princess Bride was just taken.

35. The Princess Bride

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. First time seeing this! It's something special, that's for sure. Fred Savage, you rascal, you.

36. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Does this even really count? I do not care!

37. Your Highness

Dull, boring, meandering. Not a funny film. Disappointing since I like all the lead actors.

38. Cashback

This movie is weird and it's tough for me to really recommend it. It just literally drags on and on and on. Initially I thought there was some actual interesting story here, but there really isn't. It's about an artist who breaks up with his girlfriend. Heartbroken, he develops insomnia and takes a night job to pass the time where he discovers he can freeze time. Yep.

39. Love Actually

Really sweet film. Hugh Grant really stole the show as the Prime Minister of all characters. I actually watched this one twice within a week, the second time with my special lady friend. She also loved it.

40. Paranormal Activity 2

Fuck you, movie! Now I'll never be able to sleep.

41. So I Married an Axe Murderer

This movie came out before I hated Mike Myers. The 90's were a scary and exciting time, weren't they?I don't know, this is just your classic boy meets girl, falls in love with girl, and suspects she's an ax murderer story we've already heard hundreds of times, moving on.

42. The Island

I rather liked this movie... when I was younger. Rewatching this, I discovered that this was just your typical Michael Bay big budget action movie. I love the moral implications of it, but it was just executed so bombastically that it was perhaps oft-putting. Oh well.

43. Taken

I will watch Liam Neeson in anything that involves him being an awesome person (which is always because it's fucking Liam Neeson, man!).

44. Cedar Rapids

Slow, but amusing watching Ed Helms lose his mind just to get a clue. It was kind of ok. I hope I'm never as obsessive about women as his character does.

45. X-Men: First Class

Michael Fassbender was ridiculously good as Magneto. James MacAvoy, you lady charmer you. Also, Wolverine's scene and Oliver Platt's death. You know what, I liked just about everything about this movie.

46. Van Wilder

Ryan Reynolds! I love this man in anything he does. Tara Reid, not so much.

47. Vampires Suck

I'm so very sorry.

48. Waiting...

One of two Ryan Reynolds movies I watched tonight. This one is a classic. The sequel? Not so much.

49. TRON: Legacy

I just thought this was weird, but I have no love for the original either. Not my cup of tea! It's a shame, I love the style and I love the music.

50. Source Code

Rorie`s recommendation was bang on. This movie was fantastic. I loved the concept of creating multiple parallel universes.
