My favorite of all is A Clockwork Orange. I'm surprised it's not doing better in the poll. Fantastically performed, brilliantly shot, great art/set direction, perfectly scored... Even the way it was advertised was brilliant. Kubrick designed the cryptic pop-art campaign himself, Warner Brothers stayed out of the way, and the movie was his biggest commercial success.

I ain't stressing, I'll continue to follow Alex's amazing stories (and headlines) at a better funded Giant Bomb.I just hope to hear some good news from Rorie soon. After Tested's freaking amazing revelation, Rorie needs to do a video where he pans over to reveal he's now joined by Roger Ebert!

I saw a sneak preview of John Carter on Wednesday. It is pretty damn good. I'm sure it's going to lose Disney about a zillion dollars, but very watchable.It's definitely a hard thing to explain and market. "What if a broken-down Civil War veteran got accidentally teleported to Mars. And he kind of has super powers because gravity is weaker (?) on Mars. And gets pulled into a three-faction war ...

This Just In: 1999 Was Apparently A Banner Year For Movies.
Yes, I've been thinking for years that 1999 was the absolute peak for movies (and 1998 was the best year ever for video games). Fight Club, The Matrix, and Rushmore hitting the world in the same year was godly.
