@spilledmilkfactory: It's not that they have action, but the current action feels like current video games. 80's video games couldn't give you anything like the kind of action you'd get in action movies of the time, but even those older action movies don't feel gamey like they have since the 90's. I don't think it's just spectacle, but the quality of the spectacle.

I don't think I ever watched past the premier of DS9. I liked Next Generation, but DS 9 didn't catch my fancy. I have one more episode of the original series to go, then TNG, maybe I'll give DS9 a chance on streaming.

I like 3D, and have a few sets of glasses, and have no problem with being charged for new glasses, but expect to be charged less if I don't need them. Sounds very reasonable to me.

Red 5 isn't the X Wing's name, is it? Isn't it just Luke's call sign, or position in the squadron or whatever?I still enjoy being able to add information from deleted scenes into the full picture in my head. Even if they slow the movie down if they're in the movie, a lot of the time they still add to the overall movie, even out of sequence.

I try watching a Simpsons show every season or two, and they just aren't very good. It's a lot like Futurama, but Futurama never had the artistic heights that the first eight seasons of the Simpsons had, so it doesn't seem as bad as the Simpsons has for the past decade and more.
