Final Drasa locked a topic because it was talking about the Oscars, noting that Oscar talk should stay in the news story. I firmly believe that it shouldn't be limited in that fashion.

Although it is a "food" show, you really can't go wrong with No Reservations. You really can't. It's on Netflix instant as well.

@Vincemaster: I, too, like the movie. Mos Def puts in a great role as Ford Prefect. Not to mention Sam Rockwell and my first exposure to Martin Freeman.

You can't pass up the Riverworld series by Philip Jose Farmer. And the Dune series by Frank Herbert, and ONLY Frank Herbert. Even then after the 3rd book it kinda falls off, up until then it is required reading though. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is great as well. If you check out HHGTTG I would suggest the radio series personally.Science Fiction is such a broad and encapsulating genre, it ...

As you may or may not know, Cormac McCarthy recently finished writing a script titled The Counselor. About a lawyer testing the waters of the drug business, and surprisingly, shit does not go well.It has been announced that the great Ridley Scott is now attached to direct the movie which has been described as "No Country For Old Men on steroids." Michael Fassbender is in talks for the lead role ...

With the bevy of great quotes out there it is difficult to pin one down. However, I'd have to say my favorite quote in a movie is:"Fuck it Dude, let's go bowling" -The Big LebowskiA safe answer from a safe movie, I know, but I really dig it.I apologize if this thread has been done before.

I really thought JGL was at least going to get a nomination for Best Actor for 50/50. I'm sure the other actor did great jobs, but that was my favorite performance of the year. Maybe it just proves that pube shaving jokes in trailer = no oscars, not even a nomination. Although shitting in a sink does, hmm.

Color me interested. It is going to be interesting (read as: amazingly awesome) to see how McCarthy takes to screenwriting.

According to this article Chuck Norris had a problem with the foul language and the such so the producers are toning it down a bit to make Expendables 2 into a PG-13 movie.I call bullshit..Please be bullshit...

How To Train Your Dragon - 7/10Didn't really dig Jay Baruchel's voice coming out the main character, it just didn't sync up right in my mind. Besides that, and how much it pushes the handicapable agenda, I rather enjoyed the movie. Can't go wrong with dragons.
