General Discussion » Rate the last film you watched.

5/5 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Awesome film! I didn't think they could top Part III but they certainly did with this film.
Plot, acting, action and story line were all done well.

Dexter » What happened tonight on Dexter....Oh yes. Finally!

@TheGief: "11 episodes of the cops fumbling around like idiots" > you do have to factor in that Dexter is THE best at what he does. So them not catching on just shows how great Dexter is, as opposed to what they are not.

I enjoyed this season. Had me wanting Dexter to get Hanks Jr. so bad! I enjoyed the twist with the professor. Deb story line: meh. Afterall, she is always falling for the twisted guys.

On another note: I really enjoyed the parenting side of Dexter. Well done.

General Discussion » ATTACK THE BLOCK is the best geek + genre film of this year

@FinalDasa: I agree!

I'd also like to add that this was nowhere near The Goonies. On any front! It's a bunch of hoodlums (remember they rob the girl in the beginning). Goonies would never do that!

General Discussion » Repeat Viewing: should it be considered when rating a movie?

I agree with you all - the first time is usually the best time, with some exceptions of course. There are those few movies that somehow get better with each viewing. 1 for instance is Unbreakable. Perhaps I didn't "get it" at first. But upon a 2nd and 3rd viewing the movie left me wanting more.

General Discussion » Repeat Viewing: should it be considered when rating a movie?

I was just rating some films (using the star rating system). A thought crept up on me: I've been rating movies based on how I liked them, but also including if the movie was "re-watchable" (which is where I'll usually include an extra half star). Obviously if you've had repeated viewings (3+) of a certain film / movie then it must've been good enough to warrant a 4-STAR minimum.

Does your ratings include the "multiple viewing" factor?

The Hunger Games » Hunger Games: Fav Character

If you've completed the whole series, I'd like to hear who and (possibly why) your fav character(s) are.

Mine are (nothing wrong with loving the main character!!) Katniss and Haymitch.

Haymitch has to be the way he is b\c of how young he was during his Hunger Games. Can imagine the toll it would take on you?
