Quests » New Quest Set: "To Hell and Back"

 I finished # 35.
I had a hard time figuring out the Lousy Squatters Babylonian one because I didn't recognize it from the film. I more knew it from Futurama as the thing that Professor Farnsworth kept yelling out the window of the Planet Express Ship as he drove slowly with his turn indicator on.
That probably isn't much of a hint unless you remember the Futurama episode where the crew regresses in age.

Has anyone made any Flintstones jokes yet?
"Let's ride with the family down the street. / Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet."
That sort of thing.

Star Trek » What's Your Favorite Original Trek Episode?

Is it unpopular among Star Trek fans to say that you like "The Trouble with Tribbles?"
If not, than that. If so, than "Space Seed."
When I was younger, whenever the local UPN affiliate (not a network anymore)  threw an errant Original Series episode on the air -- to fill a Saturday afternoon time slot vacancy -- it was always either Tribbles of Khan.
These episodes revealed two important facts: Klingons are afraid of small, squeaking balls of fur and Ricardo Montalban ruled a quarter of the Earth's population in the 1990s.
Remember in 1996 when a group of super humans led by Ricardo Montalban conquered Eurasia and then launched themselves into Space? It's a historical fact.

Off-Topic » What was your first EVER Amazon order?

I don't remember exactly what, but I remember being 9 years old. That would put the purchase firmly in the era when Amazon only sold books and CDs. So, I assume it was either a book or a CD.

Editing & Tools » Comm Showcase, January 22nd (?)

I went back to writing really long synopses/bad novelizations of episodes and wrote up some more episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
" Darmok" and Jalad at Tanagra. It has a special section with all the lines of Tamarian dialogue and their translations.
" Cause and Effect" An episode where the Enterprise explodes multiple times because Kelsey Grammer can't drive his starship correctly.

I reviewed the film Social Network, comparing it to Rocky.

Plus I wrote up all 10 episodes from Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5. That's 23 out of 40 episodes of Battlestar Galactica done. More than halfway there.
" Resurrection Ship: Part 1,"  " Resurrection Ship: Part 2," " Epiphanies," " Black Market," " Scar," " Sacrifice," " The Captain's Hand,"  " Downloaded, " Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 1", and " Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2."

And I wrote up some random things:
Geordi La Forge's VISOR.
The bright orange Cloud Car from The Empire Strikes Back.

Due to ethan's decree last week that plot summaries actually be summaries and not beat-by-beat re-tellings of an entire story, I have tried to curtail my plot summaries to be actual summaries (i.e. shorter).
I personally think that less detail makes them less fun and informative, but it also makes them  a lot easier to write. Meaning that it takes less time. Meaning that I wrote up the entire first season of Battlestar Galactica.
I had previously written up the first three episodes of the season, so I wrote newer, mini-summaries for:
" Act of Contrition," " You Can't Go Home Again," " Litmus," " Six Degrees of Separation," " Flesh and Bone," " Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down," " The Hand of God," " Colonial Day," " Kobol's Last Gleaming: Part 1," and " Kobol's Last Gleaming: Part 2."
Also, the first half of season two of Battlestar Galactica (or as the DVD producers would have us call it Season 2.0):
" Scattered," " Valley of Darkness," " Fragged,"  " Resistance," " The Farm," " Home, Part 1," " Home, Part 2," " Final Cut," " Flight of the Phoenix," and " Pegasus."
And the Mouse Droid and E-11 Blaster Rifle, the incredibly inaccurate weapon of choice for Stormtroopers, from Star Wars.

Editing & Tools » Comm Show, Dec 18

I'm off pace these weeks. I only wrote up seksten things. Sorry.
The midseason finale episode of Fringe " Marionette." It involves breaking hearts -- both literally and figuratively.
The season finale of Boardwalk Empire " A Return to Normalcy." It involves people getting shot in the face -- both literally and figuratively.
And the Season 4 Star Trek: Enterprise premiere two-parter " Storm Front, Part 1" and " Storm Front, Part 2." It involves the Enterprise fighting Nazis... again -- both literally and figuratively.
Also the Season 1 Enterprise episode with the Ferengi " Acquisitions." The episode has Clint Howard all over it -- both literally and... never mind.
And Also the Season 3 Enterprise episode with Deception " Stratagem" and the Season 2 Enterprise episodes " Carbon Creek" and " Minefield." Each episode is a swashbuckling, Galaxy-spanning adventures of danger and romance... okay, they all have people sitting in a room (or on the hull) and talking for forty-two minutes.
As well as the Season 1 Enterprise episodes " Oasis" guest starring Tom Bergeron of The Hollywood Squares fame and " Silent Enemy" guest starring Fear as the silent enemy.
Moreover, the Battlestar Galactica episode " 33" where the crew of the Galactica listen to 33 and a third RPM records of Big Band Music.
Additionally, the following episodes " Water" and " Bastille Day." Battlestar Galactica: Camera operators with shaky hands film people looking worried.
Also additionally, the deeply philosophical film that reveals that the human condition is not descending and destructive but glorious and inspired: Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
Additionally also, the Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special . Animals do Kung Fu and learn the spirit of Annual Winter Celebratory Event.
Furthermore, I wrote up the Saturday Night Live episode with Emma Stone. It has lots of purdy pictures. Plus, there are many more pictures in the episode gallery in HD resolution.

I only wrote stuff for three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation this  week.

The Enterprise is paused in time episode " Timescape."
The Lore wears a foam abs shirt episode " Descent, Part 1."
Also, to balance things, the film Dirty Harry 2: Magnum Force. A Young Suzanne Somers appears topless in this movie.

Double Also, the Next Generation episode where the crew gets addicted to a Frisbee and Tornado based video game/Wesley briefly has a girlfriend: " The Game."

This week I wrote up some more Star Trek episodes. The Next Generation Episode that features a busty, female Data " A Fistful of Datas." Because of the World Series, the DS9 episode " Take Me Out to the Holosuite." It's an interesting anthropological study into what Star Trek writers think baseball looks like.
Also, the hit children's film Jumanji. Why? Why not?

Recently, I bought a bunch of season box sets for Star Trek series for $1 each. So, I'm passing the savings on to you, the Screened.com... in the form of wiki edits.
I'll write up seemingly  random episodes as I watch them and the special features. Plus, I'll do a little extra research.
So far this week I've watched/written up:
The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine attempt at " Forest Gump-ery" compositing " Trials and Tribble-ations" and  the Mirror Universe Romp " The Emperor's New Cloak."
Also, the "Scotty feels old because he is" episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation " Relics."

This week I filled in the page for the Enterprise episode " Two Days and Two Nights."
Also, continuing with the random Star Trek episode plot summaries, I filled in the page for The Next Generation episode " The First Duty."
"The First Duty" is the episode where Picard berates Wesley with a famous speech about lying. It sort of gives the episode its name.
I couldn't find that specific clip on YouTube (only large portions of the actual episode), so to I took the episode audio and animated a kid Picard berating his teddy bear.

Why hasn't anyone posted stuff here? It's Friday, and there is usually all kinds of goodness in these posts by this point. Is it because the post is titled Community Spotlight instead of Community Showcase?
Although, this thread is linked in last week's Showcase.
Anyway, I filled out the page for another Viking-themed movie: The Long Ships.
For absolutely no reason, here is an astronaut and a Viking playing checkers that I made in Maya.
