Star Wars » So the Star Wars Blu-Ray packaging is pretty neat:
Nice packaging. If they'd only actually included the movies, and not the mutated, bastardized freak versions of them inside, I'd actually buy it.

My favourite movie is Jackie Brown
Sir, allow me to internet-shake your hand. I've got a good feeling about you.
I've been doing episode synopsi for Avatar: The Last Airbender.
I've done the first six so far, and I'll continue doing at least one a day.
Are we still following the Lovefilm list? I would like to see The Black Book with ya'll, to get some second opinions. (Spoiler: I really like it.)
Plus, I have it in my DVD collection. Everybody wins. :D
Man, I tried to read that aloud, and I nearly died from asphyxiation. :P
I have no idea, by the way.
@Evilsbane: I'm just impressed with what you can get away with, No need to get nasty.
I am now actually speechless. You know what I just realised? They stole the snake too!!
Have a look at the korean poster for awful monster movie D-War:
Does the dragon coiling its way around the skyscraper remind you of anything?
Unbeleiveable....
Am I going crazy, or has this movie actually stolen the box-art from Vertical Limit, and added a big snake to it?
For the love of all that is holy, if you're going to steal, steal from something worth stealing from. Can anyone think of another case where this has happened?
I don't remember all the names they've been given over the years, but for my money, track down one of the versions without the voice-over. The latest "definitive cut" or whatever that came out on BluRay recently is perfectly serviceable.
I'm not sure how many people agree with me, but Thirteen Days is probably my favorite cold war movie. Dr. Strangelove is essential, of course. And if you're open to a documentary on the subject, look up The Fog of War. It provides incredible insight into the inner workings of the cold war, as seen through the eyes of former US secretary of defence, Robert McNamara.
That's a pretty bold choice. I'll see if I'll be around. Shouldn't be too hard to get a copy of it.
@Christina: I'd be fine with that. I'd like to see it, and that'll give me time to get it.
Probably won't get a hold of this one in time. Have fun.
Found it. See you tomorrow. :)
As always, if I can bag a copy of the film, I shall be there. I guess I really should own it anyway. :)
I always bring up The Fog of War when I see this question. Some unique (and startling) insights into the inner workings of the cold war.
I come from a tiny, little fishing village off the coast of Norway, but now I live in Trondheim, like @positrark.
Won't make it, unfortunately. Won't be able to get a hold of a copy on such short notice.
Really enjoyable movie. Hope the next selection lives up to it.
Dog Soldiers is probably my top candidate.
