With the limited options given I would have to say Prometheus followed by The Dark Knight Rises and lastly The Hobbit. Those aside I am also looking forward to: Django Unchained, Lawless (formally The Wettest County), The Burial (Malick film), Gravity, Looper, Cogan's Trade and more than a few more that I don't need to list.Looks like a great year for film!

I would like to say that I am torn between Blade Runner: Final Cut and Alien, but Blade Runner comes out on top for me. I feel both to be masterpieces, but the sheer style and overwhelming atmosphere in Blade Runner edges Alien out.Aside from those two I am quite a fan of Kingdom of Heaven: Directors Cut. 2001: A Space Odyssey really "does it" for me. Aside from that one I'd also make an argument for Paths of Glory and Dr. Strangelove.

Watched P.T. Anderson's "Punch-Drunk Love" last night.3/5It is odd, but fairly funny. Each scene with Hoffman was great. The man is great in an angry comedic role. Sandler shows he can act well enough when he gives a fuck. Which is never. The romantic connection between Watson and Sandler barely fizzles, but it's serviceable.Overall quite enjoyable.

Sizzling Greatness: Captivating cinematography, great performances, an appropriate and memorable soundtrack, but the shining star is writer/director, Paul Thomas Anderson's excellent screenplay. By far one of the most memorable films that I have seen and despite being a tad lengthy, Boogie Nights is almost completely engrossing. A film of consistent interest and visual panache; Anderson has crafted something stylish, dramatic, gritty, funny and wholly fantastic. Suffice to say, this is required viewing.

A Network of Excellence: Masterfully shot, written and acted. The Social Network is a collaboration between Fincher, Sorkin and Eisenberg who have crafted something special out of an ordinary story.
