@ProjektGillWell at least this Matt was kept on as a freelancer. If we still get to see articles by Wes and amazing long form pieces by Andy Gray, I think there still might be a reason to come back to Screened (albeit probably twice a week as opposed to twice a day) You know who was awesome? Andrew Godoski. I loved his stuff. I wonder if he's still around?

@JoeyF: That's a very good point. Ironically, I almost always want to punch someone in the face if they talk excessively in the theaters. Maybe an idea is to have a movie club along the lines of a book club? Every two weeks, there could be an "assignment" and there could be a sixty or ninety minute skype call-in show where members can voice their views.

@rem25: I absolutely agree with the issue of resourcing not helping matters. The main thing is, as you mention, non-scripted long-form video content isn't as easy for tv/film. Honestly, if I had a great idea, I would have used it on my (now defunct) site. I think that's one of the main challenges of any movie site in this era: what can you do that is truly unique? As a point of constructive criticism, one area where I always found Screened lacking was non-scripted long-form content. That type of content was the life-blood of the more successful sister brands (Giant Bomb and then, later, Tested) and always worked really well. The problem with only having scripted content (e.g. Besties, Half-Good, Sidegrades) is that it was short and took forever to create a produce. The net result was a ...
