The Social Network » Social Network poster/Fight Club cover similarities

Maybe someone in the marketing department took great inspiration from the Fight Club cover... but the facebook bar on the right always confused me. As soon as I saw the cover of Fight Club in the recent Under the Influence, I instantly connected the two (specifically the bar).

The Social Network » Social Network poster/Fight Club cover similarities

@VioletEyedDragon: It definitely could be, but it is weird that the font is the same.

I can't help but see a similarity here. The text over the objects, the bars on the right, the "I'm about to be punched in the face" look of Jesse. I wonder if this is one of those little references that Fincher likes to do, but one that everyone missed. Thoughts?

Screencast » Questions for 2-28 Screencast

@filmtaught: An American Tale paired with Amreeka could be a good way of showing the troubles of immigrating to America. I had to write a report on An American Tale for my highschool US History class, and it was something that stuck with me for a while.

The Last Starfighter » A simple quandry regarding The Last Starfighter

@TheThirdMan said:
" Wow, you reminded me that I loved that movie when I was a nipper.  The ending was terrible though.  Also the co-pilot-alien-dude was totally ripped off by Louis Gossett Jr. in Enemy Mine (another fine film from that era). "
Enemy Mine came out after The Last Starfighter... but yeah, the aliens are basically the same.
