Been listening to a lot of stuff! But at this moment:
Left to see a football match when Pope came in. How long after that did he get the achievement?
Not making a new account. I can go to all other websites but can't post anything anymore on GB.
The mods made it sound like I was constantly attacking the staff and others on the site. I'm not saying I was an angel over there but I have never, ever talked about the staff, I been a fan since the GameSpot days! If I did attack anyone, it was the trolls and the people who were always taking shots at the staff, including those taking shots at Patrick and Alex. That's what the forums have become now over there, constant complaining. Anything I've said and done was said over periods of time.
Yet some of the notorious trolls, who have said and done way worse than I have, using the same accounts mind you, are still there. The mod even made a list of my past posts he didn't agree with. He/She made it sound like every post I made was an attack on the staff. Did I use some very harsh language? I did. I did it out of frustration of the trolls that were always on the attack and never got banned. Only talked shit to the people who were attacking the staff, no one else.
I got to know a lot of cool people there, that's whats really bumming me out. If I was such a hater of GB, why would I pay for the site? Guess I'll be here from now on and the other sites.
It does look pretty awesome, but I'm not really convinced by Penelope Cruz as the Cartel boss. I'm indifferent about Blake Lively, but holy shit Aaron Johnson has grown up!
That's Salma Hayek. And I kind of know what you mean. She needs to do some vile shit in the movie to make me believe she's running the cartel. Not to say a woman couldn't do it, I'm just saying I want to see the hard-ass, murderous woman (I imagine) it would take on-screen. Not "Oh, I'm a sexy cartel boss."
Either way, I think I'll go see this. Seems kind of fun even if it ends up being a little assy.
I liked the short scenes of Salma and Blake. She seems to be the type of villain that you wouldn't expect, not the obvious choice and I like that. Almost machiavellian in a sense.
Well this is a Hollywood version of cartels, but there are woman who take part in the lawlessness in Mexico. I've seen a vidoe of a cartel woman beheading a guy like it was nothing. Glad to see Travolta in this! Not sure if this is his first movie since his loss. Movie looks pretty good but I'll wait to see what other say.
Sorry about that. I've posted that pic before and no one said anything. I won't post it again.
Just wrote this on another thread, but my feelings are more appropriate here. The sky's not falling folks!
Tested is dead! 1 down, 3 sites to go.
So bummed right now.
Okay, dead implies that it no longer exists, which in this case isn't further from the truth. If anything, Will and Norm are now more able to do precisely what they want because they have the $ to support them.
I hate change as much as anyone does (it's still hard sometimes for me to reconcile post-glasses Norm), but this is the natural growth that these kind of sites hope for.
It's like when the fiercely indie band with a passionate (but REALLY small) following gets signed. They get accused of "selling out" when really they may be doing the exact same thing, but since they're not struggling to make ends meet, people say they've lost their cred. But it's not the struggle or the smallness that makes them what they are, it's the wonderful content they make and their personalities they share, and they'll just be able to put it all out that much more now.
If Will starts writing articles about how amazing such and such Discovery Channel show is, then we know it's fucked, but for now (at least for tested :/ ) the future is definitely bright.
It looks like it got buried by another website. I guess we can just wait and see, but the 1st impression on this new site launch doesn't look good to me.
