@Tylea002: Like ... maybe number 17? Lots of other things I liked more got cut and belong on this list first.

@Tylea002: Knowing you, and given that the movie was heartfelt and soft, it was simply unable to find purchase on the cold, scaly carapace you call a heart. ;)

Hey duders, I meant to write something but (predictably) just got too busy.I really love writing for Screened, and wish I could continue to do so, but to be 100% honest I'm simply too busy in my personal life right now to get to the movies every Friday or Saturday and write up a review in a timely fashion. And while people might be okay with that, you all deserve ...

@Yanngc33: Yep, that's about what I expect. And I wasn't sure I didn't agree watching it. But something clicked for me on the other side and I fell hard on the side of loving it. It's definitely a love-or-hate proposition, though. It offers little middle ground.

@zoozilla: Um, honestly, a few weeks out I probably should have given it five. I don't know what it was that held me back, other than a feeling that maybe things wrap a little too tidily. The moral is worth that, though, I think. It's warmed in my memory in the weeks since watching it.Sorry for the massive delay in response, I honestly hadn't seen this until just now.

Hey Pups, I don't normally write to you guys directly but I find myself needing to apologize. You see, I spent most of the summer unemployed, which left me lot of time to watch movies and stuff, though ultimately of course not something I could keep up forever. Now that I'm back to work, I'm still trying to keep up my publishing schedule (2-3 articles a week plus at least ...

@Acura_Max: Hey, I have more information in my user status if you click my profile, but basically I started a day job that's keeping me wildly busy, and I've just been slipping about cross posting. They're still going up regularly on my site, though.

Hello and welcome to the latest installment of Criterion Cuts, the weekly article where I dig into the archives of everyone’s favorite foreign/art house home video distribution company and unearth some obscurity and tell you just why it might be worth your time. As always, most of these come from the generous offerings available to Hulu Plus subscribers unless otherwise noted. This week we continue our adventure in Criterion's BBS Productions ...

My Light Bondage for GoldenEye is up! Probably the first Bond movie of everyone in my age group.

litrock created a blog post Light Bondage: "GoldenEye".
reposted from my personal blog, where you can find the version with pictures because fighting the image editor is beyond my patienceBond, James Bond. For fifty years that has been the cinematic calling card of one of films most enduring heroes. Sure, Bond was born in books, but it was through film that he became a household name and one of the movies' most enduring legends. He is a character ...

@cmpLtNOOb: I feel like there's good reason for this. For better or worse, America on film is a much bigger concept than the actual America. Every country has opinions about America, films come from America, stories are set or involve America. Anything that doesn't is 'other' and 'foreign'. This is also a big reason why most of his movies are in English. America, for better or worse, is a universal ...

@jakob187: @thelsdj: The trailer is legit amazing, far better than the movie it represents. Just hold onto it, enjoy it, and imagine that the movie was swallowed by a space whale or something. That lie is nicer than the truth.

I don't actually use Origin and don't really intend to if I don't have to, but man. Even the verification email process is broken. What.
