I already knew this wasn't for me (I don't even like rated R comedies aimed at the older age bracket) but I enjoyed Alex's review all the same. Basically confirmed that if my bf tries to get me to watch it, it'll be kicking and screaming... but he knows better than to try to do that lest I make him marathon My Little Pony as a cruel revenge.

This movie was so totally half good to me. I found bits of it intolerable... and those bits were pretty much almost every scene that took place in the present. I disliked his girlfriend and her family and her friends... they were so irritating. It actually made it harder to respect Gil because they were so obviously terrible yet he put up with them anyway.But the parts that took place ...

Just got back from seeing this and I actually liked it a lot. I love the concept and think they executed on it pretty well, despite some pacing issues near the middle. It's a shame most people don't seem to agree though.Honestly, if you thought it seemed like a cool film based on the trailers, give it a chance. You might just be surprised.

It does really look like the ears are just part of the goggles pulled over her head to be out of the way when not in use. Which I totally don't have a problem with. I hope that's the case, because it's nice to have something echo the visual idea of cat ears while still actually having a function beyond a cutesy accessory.

I always feel left out when people talk about Nickelodeon as being to "integral" to the childhood of my age bracket.All that shit flies right over my head because for the first 15 years of my life we were too poor for cable tv (and for awhile cable internet until it became the standard) and then after that we just stop giving a shit about having cable.
