I'm certainly not a Baz Luhrmann fan, and having recently read the book, I wasn't expecting this over-the-top look that the film's going for, but then again, I probably should've expected that from Baz Luhrmann. Nonetheless, it looks okay, but I really hope that it doesn't go into Romeo and Juliet territory, in terms of how batshit insane and stupid the characters act. I also hope that the modern-day music ...

FUCK YEAH!!!! A suprising film from the guy who did Zombieland, but awesome nonetheless.

I hear that Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 are the next films after The Avengers, so maybe in 2014, we'll see Capt. America 2 and a Hawkeye film. Also, if Avengers 2 is definitely being made, then they need Iron Man to be in it.

This forum has probably been done before, but I thought I'd start a forum where you choose a film (or film series) you love and recast it. Now this doesn't necessarily mean making a modern remake, if you like you can take a new film and recast it with old actors and an old director. I'll start the ball rolling with a 1960s version of The Lord of the Rings, ...

I really liked this film, this film was certainly not up to par with Wallace & Gromit, but I nonetheless loved the small jokes that I had to pay attention to to notice, like the ballet form for Pirate of the Year having "Brian Blessed" as a category for loudest laugh. Not to mention the various cameos from Victorian figures like Jane Austen and even The Elephant Man made me ...

I'm still looking forward to this film, but I'm pissed off that the film is rated PG-13, I assumed a vampire film would be R-rated as all.

Having become something of a Scorsese fan, and with The Aviator being my favourite of Scorsese's films, I can't wait for The Wolf on Wall Street. However, I'm disappointed that Scorsese's next film isn't The Irishman with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, as I've heard that to be Scorsese's next film for a while, but nonetheless, Scorsese and DiCaprio also make a great team.

Looks cool, This really could be the film that brings Ridley Scott back into the big leagues after the recent average fare he's been making. Not to mention Michael Fassbender seems perfect for this role, he reminds me of T.E. Lawrence, but then again Peter Weyland says he loves Lawrence in his video so I don't think it's a coincedence.

LokitheNightlord commented on staceywi's staff review The Cabin in the Woods .
I feel that The Cabin in the Woods is honestly worthy of a 4.5/5 rating, maybe even a full 5 stars if I'm generous. I saw the film yesterday with my friend and both of us were stunned by just how genius and original the film was. The climax was itself amazing although the choices the main characters made had me shaking my head, but nonetheless in an age of ...

I too was someone who loved Sandler when I was younger, but now I can't stand the sight of him. Happy Gilmore makes me laugh, and Funny People was good, but Grown Ups was a pile of shit and Jack and Jill looked awful (even though I've not seen it and don't intend to). Not only that, but Sandler also is making shit through Happy Madison Productions, and although it's ...

I liked the first Capt. America film so I'm excited for the sequel. I'm just wondering what the story will be like seeing as he's in the present day now.

I've not read the original Philip Dick story, but from what I hear this film is being a more faithful adaptation by not including Mars or mutants, so maybe that's a plus for the remake. Then again, the original film is great without being faithful, plus you had Paul Verhoeven directing. Here we have Len Wiseman, so it's debatable whether the remake will be good or not.

LokitheNightlord commented on BermanBraun's article Trailer: Ted.
While Family Guy has been less funny in the past season or so, I did laugh quite a bit during this trailer, and I'm generally looking forward to the final film.

In the UK, the plural of LEGO is LEGO, not LEGOs.But I digress, this trailer was actually a pretty good re-enactment of the actual one, I'd like to see more movie trailers remade with LEGO.

If Man of Steel was still coming out this year, it'd probably be my most-anticipated film of the year due to the sheer awesomeness of the cast and crew working on it. I'm pissed off that it'll be out next year, but nonetheless it's cool to see new stuff from the film every once in a while.

While I'm a big fan of Moretz as an actress, I'm a little suprised that not only they're remaking Carrie but that she's the one they've chosen to play her. Although the age of consent in Britain is 16 and the age of consent is 18 in the US, not that Carrie actually has sex in the book/film but some of the subject matter will probably be pretty risqué for ...

I'm not even a TMNT fan but I'm still pissed off at the change, mainly because Michael Bay's producing along with the other twats at Platinum Dunes, not to mention Jonathan "The Hack" Liebesman, who made Battle: LA (one of the worst films of 2011 in my opinion), is directing the film. It's like someone's gotten the worst of Hollywood's film-makers (or at least people I hate) and told them to ...

I'm not sure whether this film will be good or not. On one hand, Len Wiseman made Die Hard 4 which was great fun to me, plus the trailer looked good and the film is following the Philip K. Dick story more closely than the original did.On the other hand, Underworld sucked in my opinion and most remakes never top the original, even if they are good. Plus the new ...

This film looks great, it beats Mirror, Mirror by a mile. The first trailer was good, but this actually has me hyped for the film. Chris Hemsworth was great in Thor and it's good to see him in other films. I'm hoping he gets more roles like this seeing as he has the makings of a good action star. Kristen Stewart also suprisingly looks good in this. Since I thought ...

I feel bad for saying that I laughed at 0:48-1:02. I've never seen The Three Stooges from the 30s but I've seen scenes from their films among other Stooges parodies, and that ONE SCENE seemed quite funny. The rest was pretty bad though.
