I absolutely agree with you on The Thing and The Fly remakes (2 of my favourite movies), however I think the Friday the 13th reboot didn't deserve to be here. I know this is your opinion, and I do agree it was better than, say, Jason Takes Manhattan, but I'd have preferred to see something like the 2004 Dawn of the Dead make an appearance.Aside from that, I agree with ...

I love that Joss Whedon has made an almost 180 degree turn in terms of the style of movie he's making. First he makes the Avengers, a big, multimillion dollar summer blockbuster with superheroes and action, and the next he makes a black-and-white, micro-budget Shakespeare adaptation.Either way, I like Shakespeare and Whedon, and this movie does look really good. Almost like if Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet was actually enjoyable.

@Dylabaloo: I see what you mean, but it's no different from Stallone or Schwarzenegger, who had similarly generic names, but were still cool. I love Demolition Man, but John Spartan is a stupider name than Jack Harper.Either way, looks good, and I'm a Cruise fan anyway, so I'll see it (not that I see everything he's in).

M. Night Shyamalan has so far only made 2 good films. Seeing as he's not written this one, and that the trailer looks good, I'll give this one a chance.

Looks pretty cool to me. James Franco looks good as the Wizard, and Mila Kunis has so far been awesome in everything she's been in, so that's another bonus. Hopefully it'll be the film that I was hoping Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to be (I'm surprised that Burton himself isn't directing this, seeing as this is a film that'd right up his alley. Just trade James Franco and Rachel ...

@enemymouse: I think OHMSS, Casino Royale, From Russia with Love and Thunderball are also really worth watching. You Only Live Twice I'd also recommend, even if it's a major step down from the previous 4 Connery films.

@matthew_floratis: Connery is the most faithful performance of Bond in my opinion, in terms of looks and personality (even though Fleming was actually at first anxious about Connery playing the part). It is true that Bond in the books is colder and somewhat stoic than in the films, and Fleming more or less created him as a man who really relies mostly on his gun, his fists and his wits, ...

Certainly my favourite Bond film, and Connery is still my favourite Bond, with Craig coming a close second. Funnily enough I'm reading the Ian Fleming novel right now, and it's suprisingly faithful to the book so far. The first 4 Connery films are my 4 favourites in total as well, as they lack the overt camp factor that plagued the Roger Moore films.

Wow, this trailer was great! I thought this film was still in pre-production before seeing the trailer, but now I've seen the trailer for a film I originally thought was going suck, I'm really hyped. The gore effects are really good (that tongue slicing scene was really effective), and seeing that the tree-raping scene is gonna be here too, I can tell this film is going for a really disturbing ...

Even if I thought the first trailer was superior to this newer one, I'm nonetheless excited for the film, despite my gripes, of which Tom Cruise isn't the biggest. Firstly, I felt that the title Jack Reacher is far less interesting than One Shot, and it's obviously a cheap marketing ploy to make Cruise synonymous with the character. I was hoping this possible series could follow the James Bond route ...

Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Every year I watch the Oscars and the parts with the hosts making jokes make me want to castrate myself in anger and annoyance. Finally they've gotten someone with comedic talent to host the show, as opposed the some unfunny actors pretending to be comedians (*cough cough* Billy Crystal, Anne Hathaway *cough cough*).

@alexpiercey said:I love Daniel Day Lewis, but I just cannot imagine his voice with that face. I feel like he should sound raspier.Same here, I was expecting something more gravelly. Nonetheless, it looks really good and I'm excited for the film.

I think this might be the film that makes Shia LeBeouf into a likeable actor. I've always hated him in the Transformers films and Indiana Jones 4, but here he looks pretty good. That and the rest of the cast looks great too, especially the smarmy Guy Pearce. This film looks more and more cool every time I see the trailer for it.

This actually looks better than I thought it'd be. I've not seen the original Red Dawn, but from what I've heard about it, it's defiitely a movie that's worthy of a remake, seeing as it's pretty dated in terms of plot. Nonetheless, I'm a fan of Chris Hemsworth, so he'll be good in it.

Looks pretty good, although Javier Bardem in the blonde wig looks pretty terrible. Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw as Q look pretty good in their roles however, and Bond looks badass as always.

I'm not sure about the idea of a Hobbit Trilogy. On one hand, three films would nicely mirror the LOTR trilogy and more films more accuracy in adapting the book. But also, the Hobbit is a small novel in comparison to LOTR, so they may be uneven in terms of action in one film and dialogue in another. Plus, what would they call the 3rd part? Either way, I'm looking ...
