@Mr_skeleton said:So the Inception horn is now officially in every trailer?trailers go through fads; that Requiem for A Dream song had a good five year stretch.Total Recall's on Sci Fi (excuse me, Syfy) every once in a while, I never make it more than 3 minutes without having to change the channel. Colin Farrell's usually ok to watch though, so who knows.

@Fascism said:OH NO! SHES GOING TO KILL AND EAT AN ANIMAL THAT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE KILL AND EAT EVERY YEAR!But she's a vampire, so she's going to eat it sexually. Like George Costanza.

@UnsolvedParadox said:Wow, is that Alison Brie in the splash image? She looks really mature compared to her role as Annie on Community.Yeah, really. I didn't even realize she was still on this show.

@not_a_bumblebee said:The only thing I want is the origin to keep its nod to the origin of my favorite Marvel character, Daredevil. Not to change the thread topic, but I've been kinda digging the new Mark Waid DD series, and wondering if I should go back and read any of the oldies. Would you by any chance know of any good collections worth checking out? Or are they kinda dated at ...

@thelsdj said:As someone who never saw The Emperors New Groove, it is very interesting to hear everyone say they liked it, as I would have assumed it was bad. Guess I'll have to watch it some day. From what I remember, it's much better than it has any right to be. Even the characters that would be annoying in most other movies are actually pretty great.

@AlKusanagi said:Isn't this the basis for Bay's new Ninja Turtle movie? Was just about to say that, yeah. I think armored polar bears still wins on the animals+technology= aweseomeness front, though.

@Olivaw said:I think maybe the fact that the ending to the series was so bad may have turned people off to more Battlestar Galactica stuff, don't you think?I think maybe Scifi milking the series for all its worth, despite it being off the air for years, has turned people off to more BSG.

Man, a subversive five minute cut of scenes with a self contained arc, and it's still weird and boring. Never understood this show's appeal.

Don't be silly. Benedict Cumberbatch has like 8x as many cheekbones as the average otter.

I didn't even know there was a directors cut, and it's probably my favorite James Cameron movie. So I guess that means the theatrical is fine?

Too much shadow to really get a good idea of how it'll look. I wonder if it'll be dark and edgy enough.

That 16 second clip has to be one of the most depressing things I've ever seen, on multiple levels.

@SaturdayNightSpecials said:Time Bandits. Just as bizarre and vaguely uncomfortable as I remembered it. Still entertaining, if a little aimless. 4/5Time Bandit's is awesome.

Link. They use the phrase 'sex appeal', but we all know what they mean. Obviously, that magazine isn't exactly known for it's top notch reporting (that I'm aware of), but one wonders what kind of a response they're expecting/ who actually goes to their website. I assume at least a few 30 year olds are going to find it during their weekly 'Jessica Rabbit' Google search, at least. They try ...

@gangly said:As an american myself, I'm thrilled that the term "wank" has become internationally accepted. All the cool internet kids use british slang, dontcha know. I blame Harry Potter. Unfortunately, the logical conclusion to this is that we must prepare for an America where you can't get away with saying 'bugger' on TV and in PG-13 movies, because people will actually know what it means. That, or Disney will let Jack Sparrow ...

I think there was one collection that had the special edition on one side, and the 'untouched' on the other? That may or may not be true...
