Does every war film need to make a political message? I think part of the point is that the soldiers have no part of the political reasons behind the fighting - they just do the fighting. And hey, if the Navy SEALs think this is more accurate than traditional anti-war war films, who am I to say otherwise?Also, I sure hope "taking a political stance" doesn't automatically mean "bashing on ...

How about "enhance that image"? That's my favorite thing in every action/thriller movie. Like the computer can magically make a blurry piece of crap image into a crisp, amazingly clear image with every detail. I dunno man, the thing I disliked most about the Hunger Games books was its fairly transparent social commentary that didn't feel legitimate - like it was trying to make a point but had no ground to stand on. I read this book. It has a crap ending, but it is far more respectable than Twilight.Gave me sort of...Animorphs vibes. Without the morphing, obviously. And aimed at a slightly older audience.

Worst hair? The old one. Also, I actually think that the original movie wasn't as whimsical and crazy as the book, and though there's some weird lame stuff about the Johnny Depp one, it was really, really freaking weird, which is perfect for Roald Dahl. Anybody else see the disconnect here? "A bafflingly bad conclusion to an otherwise stellar trilogy, Spider-Man 3 is definitely only half-good." A bafflingly bad movie is half good? What movie isn't "half good" according to Rorie, apart from the movies he thinks are all good? Didn't he just get through explaining how the abortive Star Wars prequels were half good?
