So I just found out Jeff Bridges made an album called Jeff Bridges and for some reason it struck me as very strange. I mean it's not the first time an actor tried his luck in the music industry but I never imagined Jeff Bridges to be that kind of actor. I realise I am probably rambling here but seriously the first time I saw it at the top of the iTunes main page I thought I misread it. Anyway the album seems okay judging by the samples.
So I saw this film and really enjoyed it but the 3D in this movie is bad. Not bad because it was made post production (that was actually done well) but because most of the film is set at night, underground or indoors. Needless to say all of those environment are quite dark even without considering the fact that wizards for some reason hate electricity and prefer to use torches as their source of light. This has a great effect while you're watching the film in 2D but with the 3D glasses you can barely see anything.
This is really bad in this film otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to write this, so do yourself a favour and watch this movie in 2D.
Aside from that the movie was a lot of fun.
It's 3 AM here and I just came back from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and it was actually suprisingly good. Let me first say that i'm a pretty big HP fan and I didn't care too much for the previous films, not because they weren't faithful to the books or because they didn't have the charm (see what I did there?) that made the books what they are but because they were just pretty average and uninspiring. This i'm glad to say is not the case with the Deathly Hallows, spliting the books was prehaps the best thing that happened to these movies, the extra time to develop the story allowed the movie to fully show the story the book and from what I cat tell it is pretty much everything that happende in the first half of the book. Now to the more obvious things: the effects were great, the score was good, the acting is much better than the what it was in the last film and the movie had a great tone and atmosphere.
So to conclude it's a great movie which even the most HP purists would enjoy.
