He-Man » New He-Man movie getting made?

I was shocked when I saw the Lundgren one and realized it was really just a movie version of Jack Kirby's New Gods.

The Boondock Saints » This movie was entertaining.

I'll accept that you find it entertaining, but this movie can only be called good if your only criteria for the quality of a film is entertainment value.

TV » Human Target cancelled.

I really was getting into Human Target last season and would have welcomed more. The romantic storyline between him and the boss was starting to take up too much of each episode, but it was an interesting show with a good cast and often had pretty clever writing.

What I saw of the Chicago Code was good (2 episodes?) but it didn't grab me like the Shield.

Gnomeo and Juliet » This movie sounds ludicrous.

I don't know -- any movie that has 8 writers (not counting Shakespeare) has to be good, right?

The State » Favorite Cast Member?

They're all pretty great, but it's a toss-up between Black & Lennon. Re-watching it recently, I was surprised by how many skits I like centered around LoTruglio. Showalter, Wain, Kennedy and Allison are all incredibly funny too.

Off-Topic » What was your first EVER Amazon order?

I just looked at my history the other day and it was a 1999 order for some bizarre meditation book I don't seem to have anymore.

Off-Topic » Which of these electronic music genres do you like the most?

I like Moogs, Theremins,  Perrey-Kingsley and Bruce Haack.

Dan Deacon is good too.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand » Gods of the Arena - Excited?

Starz also allowed netflix to stream every episode on the same day each ran on TV. That was pretty nice. Hopefully that will keep happening since I don't have cable anymore.

Off-Topic » Have you ever memorized anything?

I can do pretty much all of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. A lot of Python skits too.

Off-Topic » Who i think should direct the Deadly Premonition movie

Not only would Lynch probably never make a movie of a video game, why the hell would he want to make a film of a game that was a knock-off of one of of his own works?

The Dead » The Dead - Trailers

There's no way this is better than the John Huston's version of Joyce's The Dead.

The Dark Knight Rises » DKR super-villain analysis and theory (In my humble opinion...)

I wouldn't mind Black Mask, but I hate Hush.

Hugo Strange will most likely be the secondary villain, but Nolan's a good storyteller and I doubt he's going to deliberately lock himself into a formula just because the first two had their similarities.

American Ninja Warrior » NINJA WARRIORRRRRRRR

@TwoOneFive said:
haters gonna hate.   who the hell cares at least we all have a chance to try it out now "
What was I hating again?
Cliches gonna be used inappropriately.

American Ninja Warrior » NINJA WARRIORRRRRRRR

What's that show that's already on that basically copies Ninja Warrior and Takeshi's Castle, but lets the people try again when they fall?

I think between that already existing and not being a huge hit and how long Ninja Warrior's already been on American cable there's not much of a chance of this being the phenomenon it was in Japan.

The Fighter » Great article about how sports films are usually full of shit.

It's not really any worse than your average biographical or historical film. They usually can't even get literary adaptation right. Hell, Shakespeare himself didn't even care to get the facts right.

That said, the only sports movie I really love is Lagaan

General Discussion » What if Terry Gilliam directed Harry Potter

It would take many years to do a single film and run wildly over budget?
