What to Watch This Weekend: The Heart, She Holler for Hell on Wheels.

I...actually didn't love this movie. It was good, I totally agree. Easily one of Dreamworks best, but I think that's the problem. A lot of people I know reacted as though just because it was better than Dreamworks' typically mediocre fair that meant it was wonderful. Well fuck. I loved the idea of this movie, pity it's been getting such bad reviews. I'll probably still watch it eventually; I'll see pretty much any movie Cillian Murphy's in.

I've not yet seen We Need To Talk About Kevin but between the trailer for that movie and this one Ezra Miller looks like he has some crazy screen presence. I look forward to watching a movie with him in it.

The Walking Dead Gets A Third Season, Presumably To Feature Zombies

Looking forward I don't think it's very believable for the group to start actively searching for a cure. None of the characters are at all able to reasonably posit a cure, and the only other way to find a cure would be following a rumor trail of "somebody who's working on a cure" or something like that. I've never read the comic so I'm not sure what direction that goes, ...

Dark Souls, Mass Effect 2, and Skyrim are the big ones that I want to play that'll probably have to wait until next year, as I'm trying to save up to afford a new PS3 and it'll probably take a while.

Aside from the guys here on Screened, there's a blog, The Mumpsimus that I respect. The blog's not strictly about movies or even movies very often, but when the guy writes about them I find I usually agree with him. And I'm always fascinated by his more in-depth analysis of the movies he writes about.

I really like the way the style of this movie is looking. 2D cartoons to 3D hasn't had a particularly good history imo but this looks really great.
