@JamDamage said:.... I also never thought Joseph Gordon Levitt would be getting as big as he is either...This sentence doesn't make sense to me in the context of your post. The entire thing is about actors who haven't become the big stars you had anticipated. You are in the process of listing several examples of this, begin the sentence with "I also" and yet go on to list an example ...

Just came back from seeing this on the 3rd largest IMAX screen in the world (Melbourne) and the movie did make for a gorgeous viewing experience. The CGI and general visuals are very very good. The movie itself is fine, 3 stars, though I agree with alot of Alex' review. The storytelling is bloated in parts and the blue bald alien antagonists felt artificially inserted and were quite poorly written ...

No, unless you're lucky and the movie gets released on demand at the same time, provided you live in a country where such services are available (I don't), there is no way to pay to legally watch a movie still playing in cinemas. The standard financial model for cinema depends on the movie not being available anywhere else so people will pay to go see it there. My advice: Suck ...

@AssInAss said:Critics watch more movies than the general public. The public doesn't have high standards, they're not as aware of the cliches or are affected by bad plots, acting or character development. Critics are always wanting something new, challenging, more than just escapist entertainment for 2 hours which is the opposite of the public that just wants a good ol' time.I think that's why there's a disconnect.Mostly this, though I ...

I watched the premiere of Work It to see if it was worthy of 0/10 from IGN. If not 0 then certainly close to it. The premise is retarded, nearly all the jokes are either based on crude and somewhat offensive stereotypes of men and women or are just boring, the acting is mostly godawful, the characters are walking clichés and OMG can someone choke the laugh track to death. ...

@onlineatron: Name, definitely name. The overall plot is just a vessel to deliver copious amount of sight gags, pop culture references and chiptunes to the audience anyway.

Man this looks terrible, but then again I'm nowhere near the target audience for this movie. Still boycotting everything with Chris Brown in it anyway. He has served is time and deserves to be a free man, but I've lost all respect for him and refuse to contribute to him still being famous. The fact that he complains about not all people forgiving him yet says it all.

My top three:The Dark Night RisesThe HobbitBravePS: Man you can always count on the internett not being able to follow directions. He asked you to list your top THREE movies in order. Is that really so hard to follow. I'm amazed at the number of people only listing one or two movies or listing a bunch of movies in no order. As a math graduate that really annoys me since ...

I watched about the first 7 seasons, but after a while it got so convoluted I couldn't be bothered to follow it anymore. This blatant product placement episode was the final straw:

I really like a lot of the names already mentioned, but since those are taken I'll go with one of my favorite british stand up artists Michael McIntyre. I really appreciate his ability to be genuinly funny without being derogatory, since I've never really able to enjoy the Dave Chapelle/Chris Rock type of comedyHonorable mention to Rhod Gilbert for this great story:

@Davin: Yup, Norm and Ryans alleged lowballing turned out to be spot on. I think Rorie underestimated the Twilight factor as well as the similar audience of all three movies.

Some people here are ridiculously negative about this thing. If watching someone else do something they like and having fun makes you feel sad or embarassed, guess what, you've got issues. Saying you don't like isomething or that you think it looks dumb is fine, but when you derive from that the notion that "these people are pathetic because they like doing something I think looks weird", then you've crossed ...

I actually saw both back to back. Borrowed the first one on DVD from a friend and watched it right before going to the theater to watch the second one (The movie has been released here in Norway). I enjoyed them both but they are quite different. The first one just focused on the squad and it's fight against druglords and was more about straight up action. The second one ...

I'm as surprised by this review as anyone else, but on the other hand it's always fun when a movie rises beyond it's low expectations. After all, not being able to cope with a film being good without having seen it because you've made up your mind in advance is clear cut movie snobbery. Yes a movie might seem terrible, but unless you've seen it, you have no right to ...

- Ok, time to check the Screened page for some news.- Wow, the Real Steel review is up. Man those trailers were bad. This review is going to be brutal.- (Only sees the two most right stars because the rest is obscured by my hand.) Wait... Why is the second star from the right yellow? But that means....... 4 stars!!! (Feverishly clicks on the review to read it.)

I have already seen these (the extended editions), though it's hard for me to compare them to anything since I haven't seen the original movie version of the films. I thought they were good fun, though the first film is obviously the best, and the longer run time does slow down the pace and makes them feel more like a mini series. I can't say I remember any notable subplot ...

I'm a sucker for drama, but this is just trying too hard. That being said I'll give the movie a chance if people say its good.

Looks good. I'm glad they used actual Norwegian actors in this. As a Norwegian it's annoying when they use Americans to play Norwegians, like in Captain America. The pronounciation never sounds right and in these modern times there is no excuse not to use actors with the correct nationality.

@Ramone: From the concept it seems pretty certain they're forced out into the water by the hillbillies at some point.
