Seems like this film is an ok attempt to deliver the kind of social commentary that older audiences can appreciate in films like Rollerball and The Running Man. As for anyone who isn't a 13 year old, just go watch The Running Man or Rollerball.

Screened's Roundtable User Discussion #7 - Book Adaptations..
I think one of the worst book to movie adaptations has to be the I, The Jury from 1982. The story is so drastically changed from the excellent Spillane detective novel that it only barely resembles the source material. As a huge fan of the novel, it was really disappointing.

This site got me back in to watching movies, and BTSD even inspired me to do a show on my college radio station about movies. Whatever happens, I just hope BB keeps the style of Screened. Tested seems like it will be largely similar to the way it used to be with the addition of the Mythbusters, so if all that happens is some new staff moves into Screened, I will be happy. If BB just intends to make this a boring movie news blog, I will be extremely unhappy.

I quite like him in the film Romero, which is a drama about Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero and the political turmoil in late 70's El Salvador. He's not really eccentric or over the top in it, but its a really good dramatic piece where he shows off his acting range.

It seems like a recent trend in Hollywood is to make your movie for such little money that its guaranteed to make a profit just from opening weekend curiosity sales.

I did not care for Shakespeare in Love when I saw it, and that was before I really started following movies, so when I found out later that it had beaten out Saving Private Ryan at the Academy Awards that year I was pretty pissed.
