I heard (dunno where from) that they are no longer doing it books to seasons. They are just putting the events where they fit. They have basically already confirmed that the huge event in Book 3 will be in season 3, that was around 2/3 of the way in, so I'd put that as season finale.
I'm thinking the multiple universe thing too. It was just their need to market First Class as a prequel, and the needless Hugh Jackman cameo that bothers me. If they do actually believe they know what they are doing, I wish they would come out and just say it. Either way, the "First Class Universe" is the one I will follow. Why anyone would even bother with a follow up of X-Men Origins is beyond me, that film sucked, and now there is a superior new story thread they follow to get their X-Men money. I feel the existence of "The Wolverine" as a movie will just create X-Men fatigue.
Right, so three X-Men films happened, third one sucked. Then there was another sucky film about Wolverine's origins. Then there was First Class, which for multiple reasons, seemed to be a reboot, since shit just doesn't line up with the other movies. Stuff like Beast building Cerebro, stuff like the circumstances Xavier gets crippled (not bald, and young). The school is established After magneto and Xavier go their seperate ways. The only thing to suggest otherwise was the marketing, and the cameo appearance by Hugh Jackman.
Anyhow, now we have a sequel to X-Men first class called X-Men: something about Days. We also have The Wolverine coming, which appears to be a sequel to X-Men: Origins: Wolverine. So are we currently seeing 2 separate representations of the X-Men in movies? Or are they going to continue to wrongly play these off as being in the same series? Or were they ALWAYS supposed to be in the same series, but the writers of First Class just forgot to watch the other movies before writing that one? Seriously, what the shit is going on?
Although I would accept nearly anything that gives that series more publicity, I'll have to go with Nay.
So, what's up with that guy?
When the geologist and biologist get trapped in the thing, and he is talking to them over the coms, he seems to wink and laugh a little at one of his crew, as if he is happy they are trapped, or something.
Then, later on, when he is talking to them at night, when they find all the dead engineers, he says that their signal was weird, but we clearly see he is looking at a super-HD camera feed from them, and he seems to go out of his way to fuck with them about the potential life-form.
Just wondering if anyone has any theories. He seems like a good guy, who is no more in the loop than anyone else, but these little hints may suggest otherwise.
I will start watching that show again when they get a normal laugh track. The one they have is distracting. It is like trying to watch a show in a room full of hyenas on laughing gas.
Then I will watch the show and tell you if they have dumbed it down. Because right now I can barely fucking hear it.

I tend to find I have very similar opinions to Alex on most things, I am just a little less critical. He is like an exaggerated version of myself I guess. But no, I don't tend to like movies because someone else does, especially not someone I never met. If I was going to agree with someone's opinions it would have to be to get in their pants or something, not just for the sake of it. Even if I did know Alex, I don't think I would want to go near his pants, let alone in them. Stop accusing me of being homosexual.

Absolutely amazed that people actually bother with this stuff. Will most certainly bite when this is watchable and good quality.
