I don't think you can blame Tarantino for referencing the Shogun Assassin movies instead of Lone Wolf-- that was the American release of those movies. And from what I've heard they're almost not comparable. The Shogun Assassin series edits together the Lone Wolf movies out of order and totally changed the soundtrack as well.As far as I can tell (without ever having watched either) the two are seemingly very different ...

So, my local conglomerate theater recently showed a bunch of digital prints of "classic" films (Jurassic Park, Spaceballs, Robocop, etc). Is this as gross to me as it is to you?Personally I love going to the small independently owned theatre to watch prints of classic movies, meet like-minded people, openly drink in the theater, and don't want to see them pushed out of business any faster than is already happening. ...

I'm going to echo Ryan Gosling for Drive, but the bigger upset for me is the lack of Brad Pitt. I thought his performance in Tree of Life was fucking amazing.

We all give him a lot of grief (cause we love him), but Cage can actually be a pretty solid actor. The Academy agrees. Find the films they considered to be his best performances.
