All-Time Faves
I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of lists, but this functionality is so goddamn cool that I'm going to run one anyway. No movies from the last year, let's say. No particular upper limit on the number of movies I'm going to put in here.
1. Kicking and Screaming
2. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
3. Sanjuro
4. Seven Samurai
5. Das Boot
6. Three Colors: Blue
7. The Thin Red Line
8. The Godfather
9. Waking the Dead

Is Sanjuro...  hm, I'm not sure if I've seen that.  Definitely cool to see Kurosawa on any list, though.

Definitely some great choices, i still have to see half of the films though. I have a DVD copy of Das Boot here somewhere i should probably get around to watching it someday :P

Been meaning to pick up the Three Colours trilogy for ages. Thanks for reminding me! Went out and bought it and I think Red was my favourite, although I did enjoy Blue.

Kieslowski and Malick in you top 10? Awesome. My two favorite directors. Three Colors: Blue is my favorite Kieslowsi film but I prefer Days of Heaven for Malick. Still, great picks from great directors.

Looking forward to the Criterion Bluray of The Thin Red Line.
