1. The Shawshank Redemption
"Get busy living, or get busy dying." A very good movie and one of my favourites, I like to watch it late at night with the lights off and no distractions. It just deserves to be seen that way. |
2. Inception
It's already number 2 on IMBD's poll for movies of all time, which is quite the feat if you think about it because an immense number of people have to vote for it. It's amazing to think that it only came out this summer and already a great number of people have seen and loved it. Me being one of them. |
3. Pulp Fiction
This was the very first Quentin Tarantino movie I ever saw. I thought it was really different from everything I'd seen prior and I'm happy to say that I loved it. Now that I think of it, I may watch it again... |
4. The Dark Knight
Heath Ledger was amazing. |
5. Casablanca
Sat through it in English class, I don't own it at the moment, but I would like to. |
6. Goodfellas
The one shot, which is like 30 seconds long when the main guy enters the restaurant with his lady friend is the best. Apart from being a little long, I love it and Ray Liotta is pretty cool. |
7. Fight Club
Never seen it but it seems good enough to want to own without having seen it. |
8. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
This comment goes for them all: It is an iconic series, entirely worth owning, of which I want all the episodes with all the extras. |

16. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King |
17. Raiders of the Lost Ark
Harrison Ford is one of my favourite actors. This series is amazing, despite the craziness in the fourth one, however I still adore it even if hearts do get ripped out of living people. |
18. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom |
19. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade |
20. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull |
21. The Silence of the Lambs
"Put the lotion in the basket!" |
22. Forrest Gump
"Life is like a box of chocolates... You never know just what you're going to get" This is the first movie I recall ever seeing Tom Hanks in and Knowing it was Tom Hanks, in live action at least, and as long as it is I can't get enough of his charm and simplistic acting. |
23. Employee of the Month
I've seen it a million times, maybe that's exaggeration but I have seen it a Lot. I love Dane Cook's comedy and his acting in this is perfect for the part. Every time I see it I laugh. It will probably be one of the first movies I buy for University, I can't see myself without it. |

"Rosebud." A classic. |

I saw it when I was very young over, and over and over again and I had it memorized to the point where I could act out the opening scene with my toys. |
27. Toy Story 2
This isn't the best one in the series, but it does introduce Jesse and Bullseye, plus, how could I break up such an amazing series of movies? |
28. Toy Story 3
Amazing. I went to see it in theaters and I'm happy to say that the 11 year wait from the first one was worth every second. I wasn't the only one above the age of 8 in the theater, and many of my classmates enjoyed it as much as I did. |
29. The Shining
I've seen a lot of parodies of this movie which made it easier to see and not be scared, still, it is a horror classic and I can't help but remember the first time I saw it in the dark while a storm was raging outside with a close friend. |
30. Star Trek
The debut of my love of J.J.Abrams. This movie was amazing and even though I'd never seen the original series or movies I can't help but watch it over and over. I also have a memory of seeing it with a friend of mine in his basement one winter's eve. |

One of Tom Cruise's best movies, in my opinion, not to mention Dustin Hoffman is pretty good too. A classic and one that should never get old. Read my review for more opinion. |
32. The Nightmare Before Christmas
I first saw this when I was very young and I was terrified by it then, I still am a little now. I still get it out at halloween and watch it with all the lights off. One of the first musicals I've ever seen. |
33. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
I never went to see this movie in theaters, because it seemed scary obviously, but then I saw it once at home and fell in love. I now have it memorized. |

34. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Not as great as the first but still okay, I liked some of the new characters. |
35. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
The trippiness in this movie made it all so much better, apart from the fact that it's like 3 hours long, I loved it much more then the second. |
36. Kill Bill: Vol. 1
Badass. |
37. Kill Bill: Vol. 2
Badass part 2. (Although the sound where she's flashing back isn't cool at all) |
38. Ed Wood
HORRIBLE DIRECTOR! By that I mean the director Johnny Depp plays, the director of the movie was brilliant.. I can't believe that someone can be as stupid as Ed Wood and still make movies. |
39. The Princess Bride
This is portrayed as a comedy, but it's really not. Not in my opinion at least. I loved it and it's such a unique story. |

I go to this every time I want to cry, well made and despite the close-to-3-hour runtime it doesn't feel very long. |
46. Poseidon
It's like Titanic, only flipped on it's head! Crazy eh? |

A badass serial killer, pretty cool? Oh and he's got political reasons too. |

I went to see this as one of the first movies I saw this summer, it was AMAZING! One of THE best action movies of 2010 in my opinion and I think it's entirely worth a view. |
50. Despicable Me
"IT'S SO FLUFFY I COULD JUST DIE!" Nuf' said. |
