I don't terribly mind the changes they made for the show, but Arya's escape from Harrenhal was rather disappointing. I'm guessing they did it so that Roose Bolton could stay with Robb for a while longer, but man, still a bummer that it didn't end in a massacre.

The Dictator was alright. I don't consider myself to be a prude (I laughed heartily during the birthing scene), but Cohen was definitely reaching with some of the gags. One particular scene where Aladeen talks about how he raped a group of teenage boys was not only awkward, it was also painfully unfunny. Some great choices, eventhough I disagree with all the Heroes stuff. That show always promised grandiose battles, and simply never delivered. Most of the so-called "battles" weren't battles at all. The ending of season 1 was a major disappointment because of this, and the show rapidly turned to a steaming pile of shit afterwards. I still stuck with it, though. Riddick is such a cool character. Even in Chronicles he was thoroughly bad-ass. Too bad the rest of that movie sucked. But yeah, I re-watched Pitch Black not too long ago, and it definitely holds up.

Jayden Smith in The Day the Earth Stood Still. Never before have I felt the burning desire to strangle a small child. There are tonnes of terrible child actors out there, and I don't even think he's one of them. It was just the combination of his limited abilities, a terrible script and a useless director.
