Necessary is such a funny word. No movie is necessary. Not a single one. If they made a 5th one I'd watch it. I've enjoyed them all enough to at least watch the next one once it hit Netflix. If it sucks and was terrible, well I wouldn't watch it and that would be that.

No matter what they don't I'll be their day one. Even if they totally drop the ball, it's hard for me to picture them making something worse than Episodes 1 & 2. Even the Transformers movies are better than those and I thought those were pretty awful at times. In some ways, I don't think it's possible for non-pet project (and by this I mean non-Star Wars) movies with budgets ...

@smi1ey said:I almost never get scared watching movies. The Ring (american remake) scared me.Same here. The Ring was pretty tense for me. I was squirming in my seat and feeling uneasy for the entire run. Very few horror movies are able to do that to me as they usually are just gorey (not scary at all) or have people jumping out from corners, which is lame. My little brother could ...

I totally think that more movies should have more good guys dying. Hell, I wouldn't mind them totally failing; putting up a good fight but ultimately not being able to pull it off in the end. That's the main reason I like Fallenso much. The good guys fight valiantly but at the end of the day they generally just can't get the job done. I've always identified with the villains ...

I swear I watched Enter the Dragon on Netflix like 4 months ago. Good look on pointing out Indie Game and Bronx Tale. I think I'm actually on the verge of having seen all of the ones on Netflix. Glad to know there is one more I haven't seen... although I think I might have.

I think it's great. I saw lots of R films when I was well under 17 and could behave myself just fine, but I've realized that I was an extreme rarity. Kids cry, run, and are super annoying at theaters and teens are actually worse, as they purposefully try to ruin the experience for everyone in the crowd. I welcome any actions or decisions that get people under the age ...

sickVisionz replied to the topic Marvel Phase 2 on the General Discussion board.
Not really excited for any of these. The Ironman series has ranged from ok to snorefest for me so I probably won't watch 3 until it's on Netflix streaming. Thor was pretty mediocre so the sequel will be another Netflixer. I enjoyed Captain America but not enough to be excited about the sequel. Guardians of the Galaxy actually has the most interest. It's Starfox, one of the tree dudes from ...

Like almost everything, they're good when they're good and they are bad when they are bad. Some people get upset that a franchise has a bad entry but I could give a crap about the "legacy being tarnished" or whatever. If it sucks then I won't watch it. No harm no foul.

The difference for me falls on whether the badness gets to a point where I can actually laugh at the movie rather than just getting annoyed at how terrible it is. The point will be different for everyone but something for me is that the lower the production values and the more amateurish a film is, the higher the chance will be that it's so bad it's good. When everything is ...

sickVisionz replied to the topic Apocalypse Now vs. Redux on the Apocalypse Now board.
I've only seen Redux, but it was good. The whole movie kinda meanders in a Pulp Fiction like way where everything is entertaining and interesting but there is a lot of extra stuff that isn't really super vital to understanding story or character arcs. In the original one I assume that they do chop out all the extra stuff and make it more of a focused story without all the ...

I hope this doesn't suck. The concept seems cool but some of the dialog seems cheesy and hokey and in all honesty, I've thought that the W-siblings made or slapped their name on post-Matrix has been either mediocre or flat out terrible.

I'll probably check this out on Netflix. It's got Tom Hardy and gangster movies are my favorite type.

@RockinKemosabe said:they make a lot, I mean a lot of money off concession.This. Popcorn doesn't cost much of anything. I used to deliver Coca-cola and a bag of syrup cost like $16-$20 depending on how much a customer buys. You can make hundred of 20 ounce Cokes from one bag. The markup is insane. It's why Quicktrip can afford to sell like a 50 ounce fountain drink for 59 cents ...

Not interested in seeing either, but gore can make me laugh so I'll got with TCM. No real logic or clever themes in my choices:Donnie Brasco or Neds. If unfamiliar with Neds then Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (Unedited).

I enjoyed Hunger Games a lot more than Spider-Man but it's only barely getting beaten and it seems like it was a global hit so I'm good. I thought Spider-Man was unnecessary (although what film is really "unnecessary") but I liked it a lot more than the first Toby McGuire film so I think it's on it's way to being the better trilogy for me. I'm glad it was a ...

Now I just need to overload 80 more shields and kill another 800 enemies, and I'll have S ranked ME3! Neat!
