@VioletEyedDragon: And the images in our wiki gallery have been there since 2010. Sounds like, as you say, there must have been some form of complication that caused the delay. Given the time from the original release of info and pictures, I'm a little surprised they didn't just go ahead and put this out direct to DVD already.

Finally got round to finishing off the last of the 3 episodes - what a fantastic show Community is. Each part of the finale was fantastic, but the 8-bit version was particularly fantastic. The only aspect I wish they'd handled a bit differently was the Britta-Troy relationship. It seemed really rushed and felt a bit awkwardly handled (but not in a goofy charming way). @jackanderson: Oh...well there goes my hopes for a certain level of continuity. I had hoped that maybe these new guys might not be too bad after seeing they had some involvement in Happy Endings (not near the standards of Community but still enjoyable)...but quickly realised they only had 'Consulting Producer' roles. It's not looking great.

Well, this is disappointing news following the renewal. I'd imagine Harmon's conduct in the fallout from his initial bust-up with Chase had a pretty large role in this decision. From what that blog is saying, his involvement is completely dissolved, in practical terms at least.Which leads me to my question: Looking through the credits for individual episodes of Community, it seems as if Harmon didn't necessarily write a substantial proportion ...

How many movies have you seen in theaters this year?

@FinalDasa: Ah right, so 13 but not officially a final season like 30 Rock?Yeah, hopefully Chase's continuation on the show hasn't come at the cost of Harmon. Obviously, I wouldn't like to see any of those involved leave, but if it's a choice between those two, I'd go for Harmon myself. I wonder how much influence Chase has on-set?

It's been looking pretty good for Community's renewal chances for the past month or so, but still - this is great news! Do we know if it's just 13 episodes or will it have an option to expand it out to a full 22+?The rumours that Dan Harmon might not be back (with Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan already having left) have me a little concerned though.

TV By the Numbers seems fairly certain that all 3 are set to come back for at least one more season, so it's definitely looking good for Community (even if it's the last season). The US TV ratings system seems kind of odd to me - you could have pretty high viewers but be in risk of cancellation if you don't manage to attract enough young viewers (eg. Harry's Law)? ...
