Here's a wrap up of the recent movies and TV shows I've bought/watched, with a little commentary.

DVDs/BDs

Seven Pounds (2008)
No Cost (Borrowed)
DVD
After I Am Legend I think Will Smith liked to die in his films! This movie seemed boring at the moment but the mystery of this Smith's character intrigued me, which is what kept me watching the movie. Sadly by mid-movie I figured out the mystery and made me quickly feel uninterested in the movie. Except for Woody Harrelson's character the rest of the characters seemed uninteresting. I'm not saying it was a bad movie because the premise seems very original, but neither Smith's nor Rosario Dawson's performance was very compelling.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Picture Perfect (1997)
Cost: $3
DVD
Jennifer Aniston has never been a favorite of mine, it's not that she can't act she just chooses really bad movies to star in. I love her in Friends but I'm not a fan of her work outside of that sitcom. This movie is not necessarily bad but it is a story that seemed overused in the 90s. The story is very similar to The Wedding Date and yet I think I like this one better. I guess you could say this movie is one of those that you can just watch once and forget about it... I probably will!

Aladdin (1992)
Cost: $20
DVD
A Disney Classic that will always be close to my heart. As you all know I am a huge Disney fan and especially of these classics. Starting October I am performing an Aladdin show in sign language at Disney California Adventure and I had to watch this movie so I could get into my role(s). I love this movie, all of it, down to the annoying Iago character!
...and like i said on my first wrap up; I love Robin Williams!
Rating: 5 out of 5

The Heartbreak Kid (2007)
Cost: $3
DVD
This is one of those movies that you want to like but don't. In may case I like all of the actors in the movie yet this movie stinks! I know a lot of people liked this movie a lot.. and the Stiller father/son relationship was a "historic event" but I did not like this movie at all.
I do admit to enjoy certain things and aspects about it but I'm sorry that I bought this movie in the first place!
To the one specific person here on the site that recommended this movie to me: I hope your next recommendation is better!

50 First Dates (2004)
Cost: $20
DVD

I reviewed this on the site: "Mahalo" for the Ego Boost!

Be sure to check out the review, because it is one of my favorite movies of all time!

TV

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam
TV Movie
Disney Channel
I don't mind musicals, and I love Disney, but Disney Channel movies are very hit/miss (most of the time 'miss') this one in particular was not that bad. The story ties well with the theme of the movie, which is about two musical camps competing to be the best. Strangely enough the music is upbeat and somewhat catchy. I have to memorize all those songs for a show I am starting by the end of October so, like I explained on the last Wrap Up, I am watching these movies because of this. If you don't like musicals don't watch this!
Rating: 3 out of 5

The Big Bang Theory
Season 4 - Episode 1
I love this show and this premiere episode did not lack the hilarious aspects that the series has had for the past 3 seasons. Sheldon finally has a girl friend!
If you watch the series or have ever watched the series then you realize that this is a huge development, which is handled tastefully with Penny in the middle. Plus, I never thought that the idea of masturbation with a robot hand would ever be thought of... now i can't unthink it! Yes, it is exactly as it sounds!
Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Glee
Season 2 - Episode 1

I reviewed this on the site: A-Not-So-Solid Start

I mention in there a lot of agreeing with Alex's retrospect he did on the episode. Plus, once again I mention, how can you not love something that includes Charice!!!

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Season 1 Episode 2 - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I
FUNimation
This is one of my favorite anime series and I've watched every episode except The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie. Today I was bored and decided to watch the first episode (or the second rather... it's all very confusing) again. So, I reviewed it and ended with an "I'm Intrigued!" expression. Be sure to check out the Review!

Past Wrap Ups:

I haven't gone to the theaters since The Last Airbender, but as you can see that hasn't stopped me from watching movies...
Any comments on the one's I've watched recently?
